early war campaign will be based on the tech tree rank. so if you’re playing with a ppsh, mosin and a t55. you’ll be put in the cold war campaign map… ?

Also if a tech tree were being implemented some faction wouldn’t be available to play in future campaign (cold war) like the germans for example.

The only way I would agree to a tech tree system is if weapons/tanks would be strictly era- and map- locked to keep WW2 stuff in WW2, and everything else in whatever it belongs to.

So if I take a PPSh, I’m only fighting Germans (not e.g. Americans) and only on proper maps (not e.g. Cold War Cuba).

How are they running out of ideas? The WW2 content is basically unlimited, if you structure your game/campaigns system right.
From Finland to China to France to Ethiopia to Pacific Islands to Arctic Sea to Atlantic Ocean to Budapest, Prague, Caucasus, Crimea, Black Sea, Persia, Egypt, etc etc

What? no I mean for campaign level right now it is Normandy are at level 37 and most of the infantry Wunderwaffe have already being used, yeah other campaign level could work, but these are only short term solution and it would not last, plus the weapon imbalance between the japan and the american will make the game boring

we are here for a ww2 game not COD not battlefield, but a ww2 game

they would have a better time just copying enlisted and rebranding the copy as “drafted” and then make it as Vietnam/Korean war game they get both games, both sides are pleased and then there is more income

tbh i don’t find modern era enlisted sound very appealing even if they redesign the level progression. most of the modern era weapons are based around automatic weapons so the match will look less like an actual battle and more like a shipment moshpit from cod

to be sure we will fire AK47 some time, but it will be in vietnam
