I currently main Tunisia axis and find it to be a lot of fun, the maps are really enjoyable in my opinion. Progression could use some help, but other than that, once you get the Beretta M1 and Armaguerra, I find it easy to just enjoy the maps and forget about progression. Would be nice if we had a front system instead of regrinding stuff for each campaign, also tech trees would be great.
Tunisia is actually my favorite campaign of all 4
I was finding myself getting frustrated with progression and took a break, then came back and started to just enjoy the game and maps for what they are and stopped stressing over weapons or progression. Enhanced the playing experience for me
I only came here for the free .
Where is my free ? I was told we’ll at least have something enjoyable.
Clearly my least favourite campaign fighting close for that spot with Normandy but that doesn’t mean it can’t have it’s moments.
Few thoughts on the subject :
Oasis is the most enjoyable and the best map of the bunch.
It’s been out for a while so most of the people got their engis and I’m seeing people finally dropping spawn points.
The premium squads all suck except for the 9 man troopers and the FNAB feathery bois but with the 1st of the bunch being released I think there’s still hope for something as cool in the future.
I definitely love Tunisia as both factions.
The maps , the colors, the dynamics of having to fight for one point with my Bolt action crew, while bringing in the smg squad for the next.
The only sore point, was destruction, I get that they wanted to add a new game mode, but its literally zerg rush 2.0.
The forces feel balanced, some are stronger at one thing than the other but the total picture is good. Like Berlin.
Tbh I’d like to play tunesia because of this: Premade positions for bots in buildings (See screens from tunesia.)
But playerbase issues are too big in this campaign and grinding MG34 for the 4th time (1000% chance it will be added) is meh.
Tunisia is fine, the engineer at lv9 is not fine. Snowball effect on campaign progress makes it unattractive for Axis.
I like Tunisia quite a lot. It’s fun to dig trenches where enemy tanks will be driving, and watching them get stuck in them
Best Campaign Tunisia, Best Maps, good Guns, Both Sides.
I Hope they let it like it is. Slow and Chillig.
Mostly Bolt Action, at least one Campaign
I love Tunisia. Awesome maps, less automatic weapons. A lot of bolt action ones. Clear vision (except Oasis).
A really good campaign. I’ve maxed up the Italians and waiting for the next levels in the future. Hope they will not turn it into auto-spam like other campaigns.
Grind is terrible, but I still play it from time to time because of how refreshing it is.
In a few things, it reminds me of Moscow back in the days. It is a shame it ended up the way it did, but let’s be honest. A lot of us predicted this…
Tunisia is where I can do more chill plays even though this is not my main campaign unlike Moscow and Berlin. Sure the early grind is dog shit with the level 9 requirement for engineer there but its more manageable once you can get engineers along with some decent stuff like MP40. The one thing I hate the most about Tunisia is the Grant which is why I always have a Stuka as they are so annoying to deal with even with Panzer III.
I still find it hard to believe how the hell I did max Tunisia as Axis but Im closer to the potential Tiger in the future alongside Normandy.
Atleast the maps in Tunisia are better than Normandy despite bad eggs like Gorge Destruction.
Tunisia is my go to campaign, Moscow became to hectic with the PPSh/PPD chaos and the MKb42(H).
Berlin always was too chaotic for my liking and I have had zero interest in Normandy.
Hoping whatever the next campaign is, that it has a more relaxed slower paced atmosphere, like Moscow was.
Although i dread to think what will happen when the allies get the drum thompson and the axis get the MG42.
Maybe a slower moving MG squad with a placeable heavy Breda tripod gun
I still remember Moscow last Spring on how different it was even when I have the PPD-40 before the MG spam and the gold card Panzer IV E become more common later on. Atleast Moscow have more invasion maps now compared to back then with only Vysokovo and Monastery.
Almost forgot that Tunisia doesn’t have the extremely chaotic CAS spam like Normandy alongside late war weapons like the FG42.
That’s one of the main reasons I like Tunisia, bolt action rifles are fun especially the way they’re designed in this game. A lot more immersive imo
Tunisia, and especially axis tunisia, is my favorite campaign by a good margin. The slower weapons, the really good mix of complex buildings and short open areas, the gorgeous interiors, the tanks that actually all look and function truly different from one another, and the reasonable quantity of weapons that feel like real sidegrades all make it so much more enjoyable than the others. Don’t get me wrong, I have fun on Moscow, but my heart belongs to the desert.
Well said, captured my feelings too
Other than the occassionaly skilled SBD pilot, You can easily forget aircraft exist in Tunisia.
Tunisia maps are amazing, and a lot of people think so. I don’t remember if it was Quadro or MikeGoesBoom, but one of them said that the main reason he plays custom games is to enjoy Tunisia maps without suffering Tunisia progression. The biggest problem with it is bad weapon choices, especially for Axis, but not only. I agree that both Germans and Americans should be there, but I feel like this campaign should be mainly Italy vs. Great Britain.
Tunisia suffers much from gaps between Axis and Allies. Before train update, Allies were players only, now it is the opposite most of the time (or the Allies became much worse for some reasons).
People often complain about the engie at lvl 9, yet the vast majority of players didn’t use the engineer before Tunisia and still does not use him. Guns are mostly recycled, tanks are weird and air is even more boring than in other campaigns.
