Medics are currently my favourite in-squad class but they are my least favourite main class. There is hardly a single redeeming quality to this new squad.
Would love to see em slotted into other campaign squads though!

They are best for defense but they are more of a supporting character for your other soldiers to shine, for example putting down a med box so your assaulter III with increased healing can take advantage of the medpack station or Healing your radiomen so they can stay healthy for artillery and airstrikes etc.
While they can be countered by snipers and bolt actions, They are still effective against assaulters, flamethrowers, mortar classes since they do damage over time/area of effect that splash onto your soldiers. Upgrading your medics into healing more effectively and quickly also helps.
Equally another reason they are a good class is that it gives newer players the means to help your team and gain good XP without needing to have good weapons.
There are definitely things I would change, such as:
Other than the above points, I think they are in a decent spot and are just as useful as other niche classes
The icon over boxes and giving a non-intrusive pop-up to inform people that they’re being healed would be awesome. I’ve had to chase people more often than I’d care too trying to heal them. It takes a second and a half dude, calm down and take your vitamins
You can utilize those currently. I usually as the Germans on Normandy will dig a foxhole on the hills to snipe from, use an engineer to throw in an ammo box or two, a couple of sandbags then another foxhole a little bit further away for a Rally point. Anytime I die I’ll just grab the rifle again and use the box to resupply. The strategy really produces results. Once used a shovel to dig my way through a field toward the capture point in prone so I wouldn’t get mowed down by the tank murdering us. We were taking heavy losses (about 100 lives left and dropping) it took awhile but I earned us a little longer in that game as the attackers. Even ended up trapping their tank by accident it never spotted me and the trench I made was super close to it when it tried to follow us to the next objective it fell in and couldn’t get out.
