Making Enlisted a Better Place №73

Exactly, if Japan has been decent so far it’s because their players have managed to cope with the current equipment despite its notable shortcomings, and to leave the Japanese TT like this when there are many who enjoy playing with them is truly sad.

Would you refer that bug affecting the iron sights to the DEVs? Still no fix for that annoying bug which happens to all weapons of all nations after the latest big update.

You can thank the particular individual on the russian side of the forum for throwing off the entire balance of japan and requiring a dedicated BR adjustment for killing their BRV option which was the type 100 MG, an excellent weapon for an aggressive player and to use in the buildings where you could easily spray down squads.

There is not one player that will say Japan has enough and yet no official statement from devs on the matter.

Although, the type 100 MG it’s still quite bulky due to its size compared to other machine guns in its tier, there are good options for something similar to the Browning .303 in the TT, such as the Type 98/Type 1, which has a pistol grip, at least allowing you to fire from the hip.

I’m not opposing your idea, but I guess it’s essential to point out that the Soviet (as a starting faction) already has less MG on TT than Japan (6 vs 7).

A bit off-topic: The nightmarish Madsen LMG. I almost believe it is one of the reasons for that common complaint on the forum, which is ‘Soviet players never build rallies’. Because the Soviet had poor mid-range weapons at low BR, they could only rely on SMGs, which resulted in players only engaging in close combat and not adopting a more strategic gameplay style.

I don’t really see the connection between strategic gameplay and mid-range weapon tbh. Speaking of close combat, wouldn’t it actually encourage players to build rally since you can reach the battlefield faster? But it was not the case. So I don’t think weapons have much impact on building rally.

That’s certainly a point, but the problem lies in the capabilities of the weapons available to each faction. In fact, the US and Germany have the most high-capacity machine guns, while Japan doesn’t have many machine guns that exceed 70 rounds like they do, and they also don’t have truly outstanding submachine guns compared to their Soviet counterparts. Despite having a good rate of fire, the damage simply isn’t enough against body armor, and the rifles are even worse. The Type 96 and Type 99 are accurate, but their magazines are quite limiting. The KE7, for example, would have been more useful in the TT and there wouldn’t have been so many problems.

I guess people combine the idea of mid range support fire with building a forward base of some sort.

I do that sometimes when playing with my sniper squads, building a flank rally while also defending it directly is not a bad idea, but either way, everyone should be building rallies obviously.

They devs abanded the Japanese.

That seems to be the case. Besides that, I’ve seen quite a few posts about further buffing the Soviets so they surpass the Germans, but where does Japan fit into all of this?

They have no plans to add new units in Japan. Even if they added 1, it be under same banner has another unit. That way you cant take two. Starting to think they should just get rid of Japan. Delete buttonw easier than 5 minutes of work.

it would also be a premium with lend lease or captured wepons for 50$ on the store

And there is potential and options for Japan to be more evenly matched. Quite a few Japanese weapons are being revealed regularly, and many people on the forums have dedicated considerable time to finding this information, yet the developers haven’t added anything new. Japan may be short on powerful tanks, but they could at least buff their air force and anti-tank weaponry without simply copying and pasting. At this point, I don’t know what they expect to happen if players start quitting the game. Soviets vs. US, perhaps?

Something they can copy and paste

I said once player count dips below a certain point it be 1 merger for all. Take any unit you want from any country into battle
