Why can infantry mark enemy tanks with tank mark while tankers cannot?
Most of the time when I play tanks, I can deal with enemy tanks on my own, but when the enemy gets the first hand disabling my gun / jamming my turret while nobody else is paying any attention, all I can do is try to retreat and repair. Marking the enemy tank from gunner view would only give infantry markers even when the crosshair is on the enemy tank.
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but if tank gunners indeed can’t mark enemy tanks with tank markers, please add this feature. Thank you.
Recently spoting is a bit wonky. I had many cases when I marked a bush 10m away from me instead of a tank or even infantry.
I would make a bug report but I don’t have time to play the game
Historical viewing angles and scopes for all armored vehicles have been added.
and this change above, all your marks from gunner point of view are to the side.
What I’m talking about is for example Pz IV H that I am currently using in battles, whenever I try to mark anything then my marks are always moved to right side where the barrel is. Depending on distance that mark is closer or further to center of gunsight reticle.
Yes, and the same applies for planes marking ground targets (even before the update). The marks seem to fall on the spot where cannon shells land, I can’t confirm that with tracers flying everywhere.
Went to the practice range after the update to gun sights and can confirm the aiming point is a little off. Even for a relatively close shot (100 to 200 meters) you have to aim high to hit your target.
Spotting has always been very wonky. Often spots will land on the thing in front of you (if you’re hugging something looking over), the (open) window or even smoke that is obscuring your spotting target.
And it’s even worse if you have any type of construction around, as markers tend to gravitate onto them even if you’re pointing nowhere near them.
If you’re within 25m of sandbags or barbed wire, the game shouldn’t spot them.
The only time I’ve deliberately wanted to spot sandbags or wire was from far away to signal to my teammates that the enemy is building up something on the flanks that needs to get checked out.
I was wondering whether marks stopped by bush/trees can be connected to the fact that they tried to stop bots from being able to shoot through foliage. So maybe by error they made the foliage block view both for the bots and the marks?
I guess I’ll never know.
