Make premiums G̶r̶e̶a̶t̶ ̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶a̶g̶a̶i̶n̶ not that bad

New premium squads will come with 4 star soldiers that cannot be upgraded to 5 stars in any way, shape or form.

Hopefully not a permanent state of matters if standard squads can still achieve rank 5 normally.

So?
They require 3 months to get that far.
These squads get the advantage straight away.

The glaring difference between “utterly unable to” and “perfectly capable of.”

This only applies to the new squads being added after the patch drops, and after the MG squads in Moscow get replaced on the 15th. Players will know this before they buy.

They can decide to be at 80% of the maximum power level straight away, or grind to 100%.

What is the reasoning for it tho , did the premium stats carry over to the added soldiers?
if so why not just disable that?

tad bit offtopic but majority of squads ingame atm are fairly useless to me to begin with
why grind out the Flamethower squad when you can just put hans in a mixed unit it’s not like you can improve the flamethrower, almost the same issue with the radio squad.
i have to grind them out for the semi but as a squad they don’t really bring anything unique to the table that you can’t mix in with another more flexible squad.

Now my MP41 squad while statistically better then others in a 1v1 , thing is…in squads you don’t fight 1v1s you fight in a cluster fu*k gallore most of the time.

The unique weapon is nice sure, , EXP is nice…but i don’t really care about it, what i really need is to train soldiers for the other squads , if i can’t do that with the prem squad why should i use it?
Will i get the option to switch the MP41 to another squad.

Are the stats that OP or are some players just OP?

Thank you for reading my chaotic ted talk.

Ability to train soldiers in a prem was a cherry on cake. With few troopers it will be fair, cause its a biggest bunch in your stack - a troopers.

Somehow only one of those options makes any sense to me, especially considering the added costs for choosing the other.

If you think spending 3 months of time to get the latter is worth it, then go ahead.

I personally wouldn’t mind the 80% option.

Wait, is playing this game for over 3 months somehow a far-fetched idea, something inconceivable?

If you’ve seen the stats from the tests published a while ago, you’ll see that the MP-41 is currently the gun with highest amount of kills in the game. Says a lot about it’s capabilities. It’s better than pretty much every other gun in the game(arguably). So, in a 1 vs 1, you stand no chance.
Even if you are up against a squad, you only stand a chance if you are using a premium squad due to their all assault composition and extra health on all of them. But if you do not have a premium squad, you are pretty much toast against a MP-41 unless the player wielding it is stupid.

The difference between a player at lvl 1 and lvl 5 is very big in Enlisted. So, the extra XP is more than just nice. If you don’t care about it, then that’s on you.

Most squads in game is getting sized down. So, this might actually cause more issues than we might think.

No, I am saying that until that point, that 80% will be better than grinding for that 100% because you won’t be at 100% at that point.

Why do you expect that premium squad should stay best pick even after unlocking literally everything else?

Can you not just enjoy it for what would essentially be 10$/month for enjoying the premium squad for 3 months, before swapping to those better squads?

Could be, but troopers will be nine. Nine, Carl! Dealing with them with 4 ppk will be a huge challenge.

enlisted ai will make sure you wont have any problem with those

They are troopers. There might be 1 SMG class and that could be what the player is using in most cases. Take him out and you are left with 8 free kills. The AI is expected to dumb as usual. You’ll have no issues taking down the trooper squad.

And again, trooper squad is rarely used due to the lack of any good tactics with them. So, 9/10 times, you’ll be facing the sized down classes.

I could perhaps just purchase the squads as they currently are and apparently enjoy using them for longer than 3 months. The squad size reduction alone should bring enough balance.

yes only for few months people will use troppers then wont use them at all

I used it for a couple of hours at best during CBT. I regretted that decision later but there is always an option to not use them at all. You unlock the important specialized squads fairly quickly.

Its not bad at all, but surely be fine with 3-4 prems.

Size reduction is fine by itself, but maybe just don’t let any assault or lmg. Ability to train soldiers like troopers will be fine and not imbalanced.
Maybe one engy or 2-3 trooper

Same topic here so I’ll provide the same answer even if parts of it were already posted by some (e.g. @70242574).
