Because the real stinger did not have a front sight as it wasnt intended to be used on the ground but air.
But the devs just copy pasted the asset which is why the stinger ended up having it even when it should not have it in the first place.

But the front sight exists on the current gun model, all a soilder would need to do is flip it up, I don’t think any soilder would willingly use the gun with it flipped down when all he has to do is flip it up.
So all the devs just need to do is to remove it and not flip it up. ( after they dealt with the wormhole mag issue)
Why would they do that, that’s absurd. The m2 stinger wasn’t a standardised design, so even if it didn’t have a front sight in all pictures it doesn’t mean that Enlisteds version shouldn’t, the current model has a front sight so we should have access to it.
Exept it kinda was? All the stingers where looted from shoot down airplanes so all the stingers/brownings would be initialy manufactured the same way or they just simply would not fit into the plane.

But either way the m2 stinger was made with parts of many guns so it’s sights were not left the same as they were found according to this source:
I’m not sure if this implies it had a garand front sight but it definitely had a front sight
