i’m talking about the first halloween event.
with the german engineer, us medic, japanese AT and soviet assaulters.
those were locked behind the BP which you were only able to obtain 2.
the rest you had to pay.
it wasn’t disclosed that those would have been later added to the silver crate chests.
even the skins that were locked behind gold:
personally, i don’t care. if it means obtaining what you want and finance the project, all the merries to it.
which also happened with the premium panther A.
or, the flame tanks airplanes.
or ( technically ) the Jagdpanthers.
( i’m sure there are more. but i’m more familiar with these )
they technically did though.
because again, those earth shield squads were " premium " content.
same goes with the ww1 weapons.
which you can obtain in the silver box.
or, like the stalingrad pack, the t34 stz, the panzer IV G, mannlichers, decals, etc.
were said to be behind stalingrad owners only.
but then they changed and all of the items but 2 / 3 were all given out to TT, or silver box.
again, i made my use out of it.
and so you did technically when you first purchased it.
we can’t be bothered with what others do when you bought it in the first place.
did you bought it for your self? or out of spite to others?.
but, i wouldnt mind being able to have some of the squads doubled.
like APCs, some vehicles other squads etc.
one from premium and another from TT.
especially for high and low br to change quickly.
that’s how it has been for a couple of years though.
you get it instantly, or wait and gamble it.
premium squads are bit different, but are on rotation too.
with that being said, i am no legal expert, but on the other side of the coin, it can be considered false advertising or deceptive practice.
but at the same time,
Licensing vs. Ownership: When you buy virtual currency, items, or games, you do not “own” them; you are generally purchasing a limited, revocable license to use them according to the game’s Terms of Service (ToS) or End User License Agreement (EULA)
which it’ where that mango gango pretty much " gets away " with it.
perhaps i may be biased, and i have no interestr into defending a multi blion dollar company.
but again, it’s not new, an if you don’t like, you’re not forced to buy it.
it’s more so financially supporting the game by buying what you like.
… which does evolve around the fomo.
