M1921 Prohibition in the silver chest

I feel completely ripped off. I didn’t care that much when they added the M1921 to the tech tree. Sure, it was disappointing, but at least it felt good knowing I could show on the battlefield that I had the more “unique” version.

Now I checked the Silver Chest and saw that they’ve added it there too!!! And to make matters worse, they’ve avoided adding the Halloween RD-44 variant.

I’m pretty sure I won’t be compensated, but I still wanted to take the time to point it out. I’m really disappointed.

Seriously, talk about throwing money down the drain

I was kinda hoping to roll it before anyone noticed…

Adding them to the crates was such a dumb move. Either you own them and now get to watch the exclusive weapon you paid for get thrown around for free, or you didn’t buy them and just got a reskinned weapon after gambling hundreds of thousands of silver and wanted something unique.

I now own 2 Prohibitions and I don’t want them

i’m sorry, and not to be controversial or contrarian unlike some folks,

but i don’t particularly see the issue with it.

i did bought few as well.

but it’s like like the stalingrad content, some of the premiums, and the halloween squads.

those have all been handed out in the silver crate for a chance of getting them. after the gold store purchase was removed when those used to be prior behind gold.

as much i understand the frustrations, we got to use them before most people and support for the sake of rewarding and getting it for our own arsenal.

i don’t see why it should be a problem of how others got it.

it’s like getting angry to someone else that bought the same thing i bought it or received for " free " just at a different time from when i did.

which sure, fomo does force some people to acquire it if they want it.
but it’s kinda a pattern. and i much prefer it because you can get it when you want it, or… gamble in the hoping of getting it.

we still had to use it before everyone else though.

it’s a bout finance decisions.
are you willing to get it? or buy it directly.

it’s not an op weapon either.
but again, imo.

FYI, it’s not my intention to come across as negative or rude. If that’s how I seem, I apologize.

I’m sorry, but I genuinely don’t understand your reasoning.

The way I see it, the weapons and tanks that were sold for Gold were essentially no different from buying any premium squad.

IMPORTANT: I don’t want to mix this up with the Halloween event or similar events, because in those cases it was clearly stated that the weapons would later be added to the Silver Chests. That’s a completely different situation.

The issue here is that I chose to buy something with real money, and at no point was it mentioned that it would later become available for free. That’s why I feel misled.

If we follow your logic, then why not add every premium squad to the Silver Chests as well? I don’t think anyone would be happy if that were to happen.

And why wasn’t the RD-44 included in the chest? Why is it being treated differently? It was marketed in EXACTLY the same way.

And to be clear, I have no problem with them adding a similar version to the tech tree under a different name. That way it’s not pay-to-win, and everyone can eventually access it.

At this point, though, I’m unsure if I’m going to buy anything in the game again if there’s a chance it could suddenly become free later on.

i’m talking about the first halloween event.

with the german engineer, us medic, japanese AT and soviet assaulters.

those were locked behind the BP which you were only able to obtain 2.

the rest you had to pay.

it wasn’t disclosed that those would have been later added to the silver crate chests.

even the skins that were locked behind gold:

personally, i don’t care. if it means obtaining what you want and finance the project, all the merries to it.

which also happened with the premium panther A.
or, the flame tanks airplanes.
or ( technically ) the Jagdpanthers.

( i’m sure there are more. but i’m more familiar with these )

they technically did though.

because again, those earth shield squads were " premium " content.

same goes with the ww1 weapons.

which you can obtain in the silver box.

or, like the stalingrad pack, the t34 stz, the panzer IV G, mannlichers, decals, etc.
were said to be behind stalingrad owners only.

but then they changed and all of the items but 2 / 3 were all given out to TT, or silver box.

again, i made my use out of it.
and so you did technically when you first purchased it.

we can’t be bothered with what others do when you bought it in the first place.

did you bought it for your self? or out of spite to others?.

but, i wouldnt mind being able to have some of the squads doubled.
like APCs, some vehicles other squads etc.

one from premium and another from TT.
especially for high and low br to change quickly.

that’s how it has been for a couple of years though.

you get it instantly, or wait and gamble it.

premium squads are bit different, but are on rotation too.

with that being said, i am no legal expert, but on the other side of the coin, it can be considered false advertising or deceptive practice.

but at the same time,
Licensing vs. Ownership: When you buy virtual currency, items, or games, you do not “own” them; you are generally purchasing a limited, revocable license to use them according to the game’s Terms of Service (ToS) or End User License Agreement (EULA)

which it’ where that mango gango pretty much " gets away " with it.

perhaps i may be biased, and i have no interestr into defending a multi blion dollar company.

but again, it’s not new, an if you don’t like, you’re not forced to buy it.

it’s more so financially supporting the game by buying what you like.

… which does evolve around the fomo.

It’s not alike, those were at the very least alterred or you cought get at least some of theose halloween squads for free, this is just giving a paid thing for free. That’s not alright.

again,

the panther A was a premium vehicle.

with the merge it became free.

the jagdpanther arguably was a different vehicle.
to then add it years later as the same exact performant vehicle just a model after. ( the command version ).

the skins were also premium only.
but earnable through the silver boxes after.

the Flame tanks from SG were supposedly exlusives only for SG owners.
were later sold separatly.

the various items:

now that i recall, engineers with ARs were meant to be SG exclusive only.
but were then reintroduced as event squads despite those engineers being locked to dlc owners.
( which in the grand scheme of things, i agree with the outcome )

we were told we would keep the slots:

that didn’t happen.

so, believe me. i know one or two things about being " rugged pull ",

but at the end of the day, it could have been alot worse.

like, others having them regardless of how they achieved, aren’t taking it away from you. ( or me )

you still got what you paid for.
( … technically. unless we speak of those +3 slots. but i digress )

Fun fact.
campaigns used to be closed betas which you would pay for in order to partecipate and had some unique stuff.

but everyone could have just waited for the release and obtain the same way and same things of those who paid for it.

… except… later?

The panther was free in diffrent campaigns. The vehicle itself has a paint job, a name and a unique squad for itsel

Stalingrad owners can still represent their uniqueness with the one-of-a-kind skins for those vehicles they recieved. So basically, the vehicle has been alterred.

And I cannot remember, but from what I’m reading, the tone seems like the ARs for engineers were a free feature that was just in that particular campaign, but I could be wrong.

that’s a large stretch.

for what is essentially the same vehicle.

… which they said it had APCR, but the TT also has APCR.

so… you just want a reskin of the prohibition?

i guess i can sort of get behind that.

also… from what i recall, both are different ( the tt and the prohibition… but yeah ).

the engineers with ARs were locked behind the engineers type II

which were part of the premium dlc owner only squads

which was later changed for the better.
( cause it’s not pay to win behind events etc )

but still.

Forgot to add this to my earlier reply as a possible solution. I think this could have been a nice option for those of us who had already purchased it.

judging by the same stats,

it appears they converted the prohibition into skin due to the thompson being introduced in the TT.

… like it happened with the panther.

… same thing, different skin.

I mean, when you buy the Premium Squad, you at least get a squad out of it.

the prohibition is already a skin though.

can’t argue with that.

… but i should have said, it’s kinda like the blood skins.

some were not obtainable through any means other than gold.

yet you can obtain them with silver crates.

Idk, give it a few scratches or engrave a name on it—anything is better than nothing.

I wouldn’t feel too ripped off. My silver chest payouts are running about 70 % orders and such, silver 15 %, and split the rest between weapons and squads. Most the weapons I have gotten I already had. Are my results typical? Don’t know. I have lots of silver to play with and have used about 400k.
