Let me adapt it with your new claims:
A game of war like WarThunder should be rated 18+, you are right. And left arcade and arcade2 to +13 years
.
So Gaijin is publishing Enlisted, and Enlisted is using same graphics engine than Warthunder… ok, yeah. And is that a problem in your opinion to work together???
If I want to see infantry added to WarThunder, as I do, I will ask for it.
No. There is no blood etc there, which is the requirement for staying PEGI13. Go look up the age ratings. They are not going to intentionally lock themselves out of at least 10% of their income just because one random dude asks for it. That’s actually retarded.
You can ask for it all you want and it will never be added. That’s why Enlisted exists. The games are seperate. As they should be.
Yes I know you are just a random dude, but I still hope you can still think by yourself. For instance on how to do a game more realistic and more interesting both Enlisted and WarThunder. (Little detail: games inspired in world war two and war).
Honestly I can not see why that should be adapted to minors. I mean they have Disney and Pepa Pig already with that lovely PEGI.
I know that the money earning is the thing that guarantees the future of the company and the game too, but I think that both worlds could exists, for example making sim and adult rating and other version for kids.
And again , that is your opinion about all that: never, and should, etc etc.
Do you know there are persons out there that don’t think the same as you?, believe me, world is bigger than you think now.
Trying not follow you to the sewer I will avoid telling you who seems retarded in this conversation , but as a clue , could be one looking the finger, instead of realizing that it is pointing the moon…
By the way do you use linux as I do to play?
Or just posting about linux version of enlisted without using linux?
If you think that YOU, as YOU are the random dude, will make them drop all the work they are doing to make an entire copy of war thunder but PEGI18 as you are now suggesting, that will earn drastically less money but cost drastically more to make, then you should think again.
Asking Gaijin to lose money for no gain is the obviously retarded thing to do. They are a company that needs to earn money. Not lose it.
Hmm let’s see. @ErikaKalkbrenner @73507743 @_31420124242011
Just a few with various thoughts about various things, would ping more but with this many new players pinging is getting a chore as it doesn’t autocomplete
Oh and this tread is a thing:
Look at the amount of people hating on crossovers.
Oh I don’t care about the linux part.
I am just preventing the devs from getting stupid ideas into their heads.
War Thunder and Enlisted need to stay very much separate for more reasons than just the PEGI rating.
It’s honestly a lot more than I’d care to list. Balance, ULQ, and the fact WT is horrible being just the few I’m gonna bother to list between matches.
Even if you know about game industries as you are a developer your self. But c’ommon, don’t be that random dude.
Weather this is arguably true, devs and people should use common sense.
Something that you are not showing to us.
Because in this case, it’s not matter of opinions, but facts.
And for the same reasons as above, enlisted and war thunder are not the same, thankfully enough will not be the ‘next warthunder’.
They use the same assets, that is true, but they are different games, I don’t think that any of us have to make comparison out there as it’s full of games that does the same. An example is source engine. Half life & garry’s mod.
Yama, yada, yada…
Hope this can help.
Pretty much what the man him self said above.
Nothing personal of course. I wouldnt judge people that I dont know like you just did above.
Ok @ErikaKalkbrenner, I could mostly agree with you.
But before I added my personal opinions about more much more simulator, less kids PEGI in wargames and have infantry combined with vehicles… I mean all started about having a linux client of Enlisted, I think devs already told looooong time ago that was on plan, but not as a first on the what to do list.
I finaly want to ditch windows and with everything Valve is doing for Linux gaming (Vulkan API), the only game left in my “they have to work” list, that is forcing me to use windows is Arma3. Please dont add another one to the list.
EAC is by far the biggest drawback with gaming on linux. Saw that game performs well with proton. I really want to try out the game, I am ok with proton but EAC makes it impossible.
With the steam deck announcement, I kindof want to see Enlisted have Linux support, as I’m probably going to pick up a steam deck. (or at least steam support, that would allow proton integration, thus linux support, thus Steam Deck support)
+1 for Linux build. Money is no question. People support Linux games MADLY. Keep sharing this thread so retarded management wakes up to 2021. This would make HUGE headlines > PR > more users > more money. It’s that simple. There’s no conversion needed for the engine with vulkan API. You need to repackage the build that’s it. Anti cheat is a question that they have to solve
So basically I just wanted to say that you probably have a lot more people who’d play this game than visible in the forum. You guys block people who haven’t played recently from commenting.
After years of always checking I finally had a chance to play at a friend’s place. I’d love to play on Linux, but can’t right now.
Please either create a Linux version or look into EAC Support. Valve and Proton and the creators of EAC now have official WINE/Proton support so just look into it.
Btw. Star Conflict and WarThunder are frequently played using Proton, because the Linux version for a while was buggier.
Also Linux users working in IT tend to have a nice budget for things like games.
