This wouldn’t really work, especially if nobody on your team has a radioman.
There should be a redzone/deadzone (like with the rally points) around the capture zones.
That’s true. Now the Germans are repeating the same scenario as when people captured parachute troops, whether in the Pacific or now in Normandy. you lose the first point, three or four players fall to the second and they win it.
Two solutions, either extend the flight time of the landing plane to 1-2 minutes, or the possibility of deploying the squad using planes only when someone calls the landing planes and only in this time window you can make a jump, otherwise the normal way of deploying.
both options are bad. Seriously, 2 minutes (just say you hate paratroopers)…
What devs need to do is something that was not just suggested, but REQUESTED by the community for a long time: after a cap is capture, the next cap should NOT be capture available right away, having instead a grace period of 20-30 seconds. Just like confrontation mode, really.
This, as well as larger maps, would do wonders for the game in my opinion.
and bigger battles (20v20) and bug fixes and…
Well of course, that too. Lots of changes to make (hopefully) before the game fully releases.
It’d be a waste of a squad slot
Ah… no!
I use them myself because they are available in the game, but I find it highly unrealistic to drop them in the middle of the battlefield. Most airborne units have been in the game before and no one minds that they are deployed like any other unit.
For this reason, I believe that the flight time of the plane needs to be extended.
The parachute should be a destructible target to make it easier to knock them out of the sky as they glide down to the ground.
Or you should introduce the same mechanics in the challenge as in the confrontation and each next key point is closed for a certain time.
It’s what I said, it’s been asked for since BEFORE paras even got implemented, and is the only real solution. Asking for a 2 minutes delay in the air, again, is just a disguised way to say “I hate paratroopers and want nobody to use them anymore so they should be nerfed to oblivion.”
Do not fix the paratroopers leave it the way they are let this toxic delicious gameplay continue the allies **** the Germans with it so it’s time we **** them back
Even if paratroopers lose their ability to drop, they would still be S Tier by their unit power alone.
Yes.
Which is why, again, there’s no issue…
BR mm will make sure those will only be used in top br matches, where everyone already runs around with fg42, stg44, 1919…
Ofc there is an issue, dropping on top of capture point is garbage gameplay that destroys the structure of every map and gamemode.
Just because you dont intend to play with higher BR does not mean high BR deserves to be completely messed up.
Never said I don’t intend to play high br.
Just that those paras dropping directly on the cap, will feel much less impressive when met by 9 men squads armed with fg42II.
It’s like skeet shooting.
Paras aren’t the problem. Caps not having a grace timer in between captures, are.
Maybe paradrops being not available directly at the start of a match just like planes could be part of the answer then.
Ppl complain a lot now, because event paras are new.
It will quickly grow silent, just like when premium paras got released.
Ppl here like to cry “balansss issueeee!!!” Left and right when there’s none, or it’s much less important than they say it to be.
A grace timer between captures is all we need. If ppl who cannot adapt still cry, we could request that only one para squad can be dropped each 3 squads… But then ppl will complain about flamethrowers and assaulters etc.
In short: ppl cry, no matter what.
I didn’t complain because I had no idea how they function, now people know.
This complaining will get worse, simply because the concept is broken.
Isn’t. Paras are fine.
Cap zones are not, because they can be capped immediately after a capture.
Locking the cap like confrontation will have the effect you are looking for.
And other upsides like slowing down the snowball
