Personally, I’d rather have the soul balancing mechanism in CRSED. In the current arcade mode, due to the lack of respadie points, players are abusing all kinds of advanced and powerful weapons, which may not be a problem in arcade mode, but in historical or core mode, there is definitely a limit on the cost of these points to deploy a weapon or do something. Like in CRSED you have to spend hundreds of points to summon a ritual

Even with that logic, they only need a little to fit, because engineer hammers and radio stations are things that can be equipped and disassembled, meaning they can have different functional variations
Of course, if the reader thinks the map is limited by grey zones, that’s entirely an arcade problem, and that can be improved. such as making a history mode in big map with spawn scores to do things

Thanks to the thought raised by this post, I gradually realized that the bm13 Katyusha was already in the game and could be used by players because we actually had a Katyusha model with a skeleton animation and turrets. Maybe I can make a playable Katyusha truck by the end of the week
The hardcore lone wolf mode sucked hard and no one played/ plays it. We could do this with AI teams but hardcore MP games with AI isnt fun. The idea of malfuctions is heavily disliked by the community (despite the fact that only BAs had a low chance to malfunction), starting from carriers/ bases is not liked as well looking at Asia. They also removed friendly fire from artillery and the last time they tried to create soft ff for explosives, people complained hard about it anf they reverted it
Talking about WW2. This would require not only massive number of replacemente of the campaign levels which Df doesnt want to do, namely specific issues such as the Jumbo. No, but it would also require limitations of squads, guns, explosions whatever, a heavily disliked thing of 80% of the community.
Lets just stick with this weird arcade-realism mixed hybrid they try to achieve.
No one plays, is there a possibility that they didn’t do this thing well, not because this hardcore is not popular.
I’m not here comparing other ww2 fps games with friendly damage and some liitle core mode.
The current arcade mode can be made as it is, and everything is already there anyway.
As what they do to make a Zombie mode for CRSED
I’ve seen tons of buddy players leave, who started out just wanting an infantry War Thunder, came for hardcore gimmicks, and ended up leaving after months of arcade modes that lacked depth and often one-sided combat
They don’t need to throw away anything, whether it’s done well or not.
they just need to increase, As what they do to the moon campaign. Get serious about the WWII elements and not spend your time in other weird places
They just need to make a new mode, something like War Thunder’s EC mode
Of course they can make things as the arcade simple, and at the same time make some elements of the hard core, but first of all we need a larger playable area as map size what they did in CRSED
It is an option in custom battles.
I have to admit that hardcore is… a bit too hard for me (I can handle with infantry (but, it is rather complicated with mortars and other more sophisticated things) and maybe tanks (though, the fact that they still operate as a squad tends to make a mess of this), but planes require more awareness), but lone warriors do have it’s charms and I play it sometimes, as it is more organic and less predictable.
That longer Bolt-Action rifle reload animation?
Or did we not see it in game yet?
Would it be better to reduce the amount of campaigns? Make them… more dense - like, unlocking 2 (or more, or less) things with a new campaign level?
Because it just hides the UI and the player lacks communication, it’s better to just play vanilla CRSED
You mark on the map and you can’t even tell your teammates what you want on the mark, it’s just a red triangle or blue teardrop. The same thing happens in normal mode
But you dont understand thath this mean make a whole different game, almost all gameplay element need be redone or heavily modified from, for change the game from cod clone to red orchestra clone, is not something it can be done now anymore, the ship is sailed time ago
Sure we start play enlisted a squad based fps for play withaut the “squad”, totally is fault of the ui, not because it change the game in a generic Facebook fps
Yes thats what i choose for my mod mission. So can’t squad system work in some kind of hardcore elements and big maps?
What are you trying to express? Let’s take the minimap for arcade mode in a actually big map? Or every time a player suggests new content, elements cannot be added to the game due to various grey zone reasons and unlimited weapon usage and the 40+ level tree with useless things behind? Keep adding new campaigns?
I just see one thing, sometimes players propose to add something new, like a proposal to join a transport vehicle squad, there’s always some replies based on the existing arcade mode situation, yes there’s a series of related questions trying to come up with a theory that transport Squads are not viable in this game
None of these suggestions are to overthrow this arcade machine, just to optimize it and improve it, just to build more scenery on his foundation
Maybe you guys will enjoy this debate, but I don’t think it’s a question of whether or not to add it, the question is How To Add.
I don’t enjoy this argument, now I’m going to keep making things with the editor
Is a reskin with a different gravity setting, but the core game remain
Move->shoot->die->respawn only with a bit more jump and some nice fx on the weapon model
If the game is promoted for give the player the commond of his personal army, make a game mode wen the player play withaut them and place here as main mod is the exactly the opposite of what i read on the site
Whao, you now understand how live service work? Exactly like this an huge ammount of half-shit contenent bad implemented and bugged for keep the game alive the most possible and milk more money
Everything that can be suggestd for make the game as you want, cant be done because is a waste of money that darkflow/gaijin dont wont do
For them is Better keep do one campaign with one map, add full access, boundle, premium squad, copypast the grind from other campaigns ecc…
For lower the development cost and boost the income
Perhaps the case you describe will find a contradiction in it
I just feel like some of the replies in this thread are constantly looking for rebuttal points, like a debate match, just to show that this game can’t add Katyusha rockets like the topic creator proposed.
It seems that once they accept the fact that there are more possibilities in this game, they fail.
And the fact is that the richness of the game is actually a good story ending for every player and development team.
Now I’m really going to play games and editors instead of wasting time debating
You changed the whole topic, i only saied at OP that we dont need radio op 3 not we dont need different artillery, and you started with game rework and other things
Dont be the victim here, no one is debate nothing i keep saied what i sayed from the start
Rework cant happen because developers dont want it or they cant do it
add more squad for longer the grind is stupid, you want katushia add this to radio 2
Harder settings without bots. They delivered the main premise excluding the bot part because no one cared about the mod. Most people dont want and the devs dont want it. Easy cheesy.
This is the main mode and 95% of the players play this mode.
So ofc it requires changes.
Yet here the sole mode apart from the squad mode was a desaster and Df try their best to make cb as unattractive as possible.
Honestly, if they stayed literally months despite the fact that they play a more arcade-ish game, then it wasnt that bad at all or they coped too hard. Otherwise they are plebs.
Its also a question why leaving a good running market to enter the realism market which has lots of competitors, who are better than Df.
That was an event, not an Independet campaign or mode.
