Actually, joining matches in progress should be an option. Just make it a checkbox or an option that is off by default. I personally wouldnāt mind matches that are in progress.
slap an XP bonus for being reinforcements and you have a good system to fill empty slots
ORā¦ you could allow people to opt out of an in-progress game and wait for a game that you spawn in at the BEGINNING (like most people expect) of the game so you start off equal to the rest of the players! I personally leave a game if it is already in-progress, winning or losing. I recently played a game where I spawned in to a game where I was immediately in the rear zone that was flashing already. So much āfunā to start from behindā¦
