A belt change does not fix the issue of it having almost half the damage of the others. Why is the damage so low to begin with?! I can understand it not being 100 damage, but why in the world is it so low? The ones in planes and on tanks should also do more damage then 7.5. Just because it can penn some light armor isn’t enough of a justification to give it pistol damage. It’s not a pistol, it’s a big ass MG. This damage is so pitiful, it’s like a bad dream when you can’t punch hard.
What are you even talking about? 50 cal Jeep is absolutely busted right now. The dmg is so high that it melts an airplanes with 1-2 hits, unironically one of the best AA vehicle rn. Actually use it for once and come back.
Vehicle damage model for the gun doesn’t really translate to damage on soldiers. If it’s one hitting soldiers then it’s damage did go up. They only said belt change, said nothing about damage
Well, I should of learned to go test things first by now, but I don’t understand how going from AP to API quadrupled the damage. That doesn’t make a lot of sense unless I’m missing something.
We don’t need it to hit as strong as the buildable one, but something that’s in reason and makes logical sense for what it is, and should be for all vehicles, not just jeep
By the way, i did go test the p51 at 30% after you said something about that while back, it now has a permanent spot in my br3 lineup. Night and day difference
Oh and the reason i said i don’t think vehicle damage translates to soldier damage the same way, is because the 50 cal still takes out planes relatively well, even though it does pistol damage. I have a hard time seeing a pistol being able to down a plane in as many of shots. It just doesn’t really add up to me. I guess the 50 cal makes bigger holes?
That and it seems like it did more damage to a plane than a body
Yes. This is because the emplacement M2 HMG and M2 HMG mounted on vehicles are basically a different weapon, despite them being the “same gun”. Same as the vehicle mounted coax MGs have a way different dmg than the infantry carried LMG. Game logic applied here for better balance, basically.
I don’t think so. Some of the playerbase will remember including me that how busted the M13 GMC used to be on pacific because back then the vehicle mounted 50 cal had a high damage. I don’t want to repeat that.
I believe the penetration value also takes play in here, but you may have noticed that an airplane still takes A LOT of 50 cal shots from a tank mounted 50 cal to be critically damaged even. Most of airplanes when shot by 50 cal just hitting the ground due to the mistakes of pilot etc etc, not by actually critically damaged by 50 cal in most cases.
It is insanely powerful. It’s basically an HMG emplacement that can moves fast and able to shoot airplanes due to much better elevation AND the game pop up the lead indicator for shooting down an airplane. I think it is bit overtuned, but people wanted this so we will see.
