Improve name policing or filtering

Interesting points to consider. I am thinking out loud here…

Both positions for and against censorship acknowledge that words have power (for others or conversely for me), otherwise the response to this argument would be silence. Hence, if words have power, it means they can uplift and hurt people. Censorship hurts individuality, and freedom to say everything offensive hurts ‘minorities’.

In this way our disagreements cannot be resolved if we are both trying to good by people.

I miss the old days of online gaming when someone would just go out of their way to target and shit on people with offensive names until they started crying in chat or left Instead of whining about text on a screen like it’s Twitter.

I miss playing Enemy Territory in 2005.
