Oh, my dear British friend, what do you mean by “soon”? Is the major update today, the 16th, or sometime this week?

Soon ™ means Soon ™

In Cornwall we have another term, dreckly, that means any time between 20 minutes and 5 years. So be thankful that I didn’t say Dreckly ™.

A good word to describe the time of waiting for this promise to be fulfilled.

Huh Sounds close to the German term Dreck/ dirt.
Which kinda fits well here.

It’s essentially a colloquial thing… Dreckly is a Cornish slang for “directly”.

It’s how these yokels talk down here.

I work with a bunch of folk from Cornwall. Gonna have to drop dreckly into an email and see what happens.

There’s a big difference in:

“I’ll send you payment tomorrow”

and

“I’ll send you payment dreckly”.

I can imagine that those Cornish folk might have a thing to say about that wording…

Oh yes, i know exactly where I’ll use it. When i get an email saying “hey, hate to bother you with this, but this customer reached out to us multiple times and is being a massive pain. Could you possibly call him if you get a chance and sort him out?”

“Sure, I’ll give him a ring dreckly.”

Absolutely the perfect use of the word.

Yes, yes, thank you so much to my dear British friends for the timely announcement of the major update and Battle Pass schedule. I’m just hoping that the Silver Chest three months from now will give me a squad instead of 5 tanks. You know, 50 chests for one event squad seems a bit too expensive  (Please forgive my complaint)
