How about we discuss future "Battle Ratings" as a community BEFORE that patch goes live?

well i havent played battlefield since first one so idk their exact mechanics. but enlisted is extreme where you need ~3 months of f2p play to unlock one side of one campaign. with 6 campaigns and 2 sides that is at least 3 years of grinding to have all weapons unlocked.

Yeah, since there’s not lot of f2p fps games. Especially ww2 themed ones.
The only one which comes to mind is H&G. And I have never played it. So I don’t hev any comparison.

The closest things I can compare it to is WoT or WT. And grind as f2p in these games is even more frustrating, since repair costs.

Would have went with HnG since HnG is THE grind.

Would just make some sort of splited lines for national stuff as e.g. UK and South Africa in Wt so people can decide what they want to do first and sometimes they can jump to the other nation if the weapon was mass used (e.g. Thompson) and also add the ability to have nation specific squads for all types and not just depending on the mood of the tech tree (plus being able to alls buy any nation soldier of any rank).

I can easily see both of them being implemented up to equivalent BR with Japan. The main hole in both rosters is higher-end rifles, which could probably be resolved with paper weapons like Japan if you absolutely insisted that they reach upper-mid BR.

it is really not a problem with higher BR weapons cause both british and italians used weapons from US and germany. you just need mechanism so you dont double grind same weapon.

Copypasting already existent weapon for opposing faction is extremely lame.

i didnt mean it for opposing faction, i meant it for allies. like US and britain or germany and italy.

Yeah, in that case I would be completely okay with it. Sorry for misunderstanding.

The “high BR” weapons you are referring to would basically just be Garands. The only other weapon they seemed to have taken were some Springfields they gave to the Home Guard. As for Italy, the German puppet National Republican Army had four divisions raised, trained, and equipped in Germany. Despite that, they seem to largely still be using Italian small arms, though I’ve found photos with soldiers using K98ks as well. I would also expect they were using MG-34s and MG-42s as well. And then of course there are sources for them importing Panzerfausts beginning in 1943, with it being unclear whether they began using them before the split in Italian states or after.

I think if the equipment of the respective factions were forked off from each other where appropriate, it would help distinguish the factions from each other and give greater incentive to play them.

And for anyone curious the four divisions were;

  • 1st Bersaglieri Division “Italia”
  • 2nd Grenadier Division “Littorio”
  • 3rd Marine Infantry Division “San Marco”
  • 4th Alpine Division “Monterosa”

Oh You are so special. We know it.

First it was about purpose…

well i was mostly referring to having high BR weapons in italian/british tree for balance purpose cause they were missing them if full tech tree is needed, not for historical accuracy.

there is simply no good solution if you want high BR weapon for them. you could either take out some paper weapon that if lucky reached prototype phase (if it even exists), or you could use captured opponent weapons, or use equivalent allies gun.

or you could have low-mid BR tech tree, but i think people would rather have different nation squads in all tiers than just in low-mid BR tiers.

I don’t care about points, all that we’re supporting the team. There have been lots of times I’ve disabled tanks with the PTRS only for a friendly vehicle to come and take the kill. And I don’t mind because hey we’re both doing our job combatting the enemy vehicles

I have seen plenty of Tigers, Panthers, Jumbos, Shermans, etc right up by the objective

you may not care about points, but majority of players does cause of the grind.

and that is only if you have friendly vehicle capable of killing enemy tank. i had games where i killed 10-15 tanks while they were not capable of doing anything to me.

yes. for every 1 up to objective, you get 20 in gray zone. you just need to play long enough and you will see plenty of them.

I don’t know why you’re acting snarky. Everyone knows there are varying “gamer” types and I know the average player doesn’t play like me, like I said for example me actually playing the Medics job or bipoding with MGs or I will only use anti tank rifles when bipoded

I’d never insinuate being better or whatever because that’s relative. I’ve said before the guy charging straight into the objective is just as valuable as the sniper all the way in the back as the AT guy hunting tanks as the Engineer building as the Mortar “mortaring” as the so on and so fourth.

I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do, and everyone else is gonna do what they’re gonna do.

We’re all pieces of the team

Idk what you mean. Perhaps it’s a misunderstanding of my points

What I mean is I will use whatever for fun variety, feel like X feel like Y, and I will get “into the battle” and perform my role. And performing a role doesn’t mean you must be SuperN00bDestroyer420xD. Like I’ve said being an MG bipoded somewhere, maybe I’m the PTRS hunting tanks, maybe I’m the Medic running around healing, etc

In the battle maybe I have a good run with my MG, or maybe I happen to get sniped the very moment I bipod. Que sera sera

Of coarse and there is nothing wrong with that. Idk why people are acting like I have a problem. All I say is I play my way, and everyone else plays there’s. And that we’re all part of the team

Like I said I know the majority of people use Medics as proto Assaulters, but I have fun doing their job when I pick that squad

As the Soviets the T-70 can fight pretty much everything.

But I will say in general more people should use AT guns. They’re certainly capable if the right opportunity arises.

But again, if say I’m with the PTRS and I disable various parts of the tank forcing the crew to come out and the crew ends up getting killed that’s still a win in my book

I understand everyone has their own personal experience, heck’s that’s what everyone individually bases their whole perspective and views on.

From my experience I wouldn’t say gray zone tanks are rare, but they’re not that common. I’d say most vehicles I encounter are in the play area, or relatively close to it.

Related to this, I have suggested Heavy AA guns like the Flak 8,8 that can act as high velocity AT guns perfect for fighting vehicles at longer ranges

Even if Gaijin is just a publisher, you know how much power and influence publishers have as they can just interfere with the decisions of Darkflow behind the scenes especially when it comes to monetization and anything else that would make the game profit more even at the expense of its integrity. There are cases that even AAA games collapsed for not meeting publisher’s expectations and had the studio shut down sure plenty of shitty game companies out there but Gaijin is not a saint with its own track record. Gaijin’s way is to frustrate the playerbase to make them spend money whether its through bullshit mechanics like repair costs, constant uptiers, painful stock grind, etc or spending money for some events like crafting ones for a rare vehicle but with an insane amount of grind.

Even just the Gaijin name could raise a red flag especially those who have played War Thunder for atleast a short time but quit for various reasons with some of the major ones being the grind, economy and the P2W stuff. There were some people who came to Enlisted from War Thunder as tired of all the bullshit from that game. We know what to expect from a company like Gaijin.

Depends on how skilled you are in shooters like some Call of Duty and Battlefield games have challenges to unlock attachments or certain weapons locked behind a very high level that may vary on how many you kill and how much you win at the same time. Obviously casuals are much slower especially those with not much playtime. There were even cases of people taking months and even years to take a single top tier tank in World of Tanks, even more with War Thunder’s insane grind.

they are somewhat situational. lots of times they have parkinsons and sometimes they cant pen tanks frontally (e.g. normandy).

there is a reason why i stayed with counter strike and not with CoD or battlefield no matter how good they were when they came out. it was like they become worse every year and they still charged you full AAA amount of money for it. i seriously dont see a reason to grind weapons/attachments in a game that you paid full AAA money for.

well we were talking about small arms. WoT and WT have too much shitty grind and that is why lots of people migrated to other games like enlisted and WoWS.

no its not, points dont give you victory, crippling your enemy does however.

I find everyone contributes no matter how big or small. Disabling a tank is just as good as killing it. All that matters is that you’re supporting the team one way or the other

Whether you one shot a tank or you disable it. It’s helping the effort
