They had both units, Stug-Abt and Panzer-Abt, both with Stugs because lack of Panzers.
But it would still be better to have Stug one in game, when they sell Stug as premium.
nah dw, but as you said its pointless to comment on things you don’t intend to give either good points and constructive criticism.
ohh maybe forgot that, i need to re-read, if you’d like massimiliano afiero has a very good book about them and its not that expensive i had detailed combat reports, unit allocations and maps.
yeah i’ll wait for them to maybe add camo (dont think is gonna happen )or the free version in the future
i really hate that its just factory yellow
Ok like you want if you change idea i send him
I’m sorry I don’t know if you’re American or not, but all of this just sounds like bias level over 9000.
- Normandy does not have the greatest (I assume, the largest you mean, not glorious) playerbase. Unless you have some kind of data to back that up, we see lots of posts and discussions about Moscow, Berlin and Normandy alike, with Tunisia lagging behind;
- One of the most famous campaigns but in no way, shape or form more famous than Barbarossa (Moscow), Bagration or the Berlin Offensive;
- Absolutely not the beginning of the end. I don’t even need to list the losses Germany had suffered in troops, vehicles or their general retreat over the course of 1941-1944 and where the frontlines stood when US troops landed in Europe, or how hard Germany had been retreating by then, or how many millions of German troops Operation Bagration took in the coming month, or how the Allied forces in Normandy fought a tiny fraction of second-tier reserves and a handful of tank batallions as compared to 3 whole Army Groups + SS on the Eastern Front.
The beginning of the end was fall-winter of 1941 when the battles were lost and the losses and the supply chains could not be sustained in the long run.
No i’m not american, i’m european and by bias yes i love reading about the eastern front but i prefer reading and playing the western front.
yes largest sorry, on facebook there are a couple of enlisted groups varing in size with both polls showing most members playing either allies/axis in normandy.
this is quite right depending where you come from (how they teach you WW2), growing up i’ve always knew what DDay was, but it wasn’t until i’ve grown up and started reading books i learned about bagration. quite shame really
Regarding losses and deployed units/equipment you are 100% right, but for western culture it was, if they sticked to italy they would have never arrived to berlin by May 45.
Not surprising that an American-based website would have such results.
The Russian-speaking community over at VK, as expected, feels otherwise:
(Google translated, taken before Tunisia was added)
As you can see, Normandy is in last place behind Tunisia. Having one group of people participate in a poll doesn’t really showcase the full picture.
Not sure what you mean by “it was for western culture”, WW2 was a World war after all, so if you isolate the “western” part of things and disregard the “eastern part” (i.e. if in alternative history Germany never commits and loses millions of forces and material on the Eastern Front) I doubt there’s Italy landing at all, let alone D-Day, unoccupied Britain or anything like that, so the “End” is Normandy and the rest of Central/Western Europe being part of the Reich and all the things that come with that.
If you mean “beggining of the end of German occupation of Northern France and the Low Countries” then sure.
not surprising, people always play what they feel connected to.
maybe the devs will release an official quota/poll in the future, if they haven’t already
by this i mean the western allies invasion of europe and how they teach it. you’re making me realize my english is bad
sorry if its not understandable.
western countries ALWAYS puts a spot light on western front and i assume russia does the same. especially since after WW2 there was the cold war and they tried deminishing the others sacrifice.
it was when i started reading about WW2 i learned more about the russian front and i bet there are still lot of untold things not available in english.
but as i said people play what they mostly feel connected to.
since i’m in more “western groups” ppl tend to play that side
