ohh and this here, While the overall size of the map is 1km+ squared the play area is only 200 meters squared with the whole design of the map to funnel all the players into a 20 meter squared area, and the devs introduced artillery vehicles purely to make more money no think to do with the size of the map
the maps are pretty small
default spawns are ~80-100m from cap points, rally points at ~40m, effective fight range ~10-20m around cap point. and usually map design is made so you are funneled to attack one side with almost impossible flanks (cause of grey zone). maps are cluttered with debris and are vehicle unfriendly. tanks camp 60-200m away from cap zone cause they dont want to die to det packs.
so explain how the half truck could be useful in effective battle range and still not die even though tanks are dying if they go near.
Let those arcade players keep playing arcade CQC mode and even Counter-Strike games in tiny map.
But I think the huge map is one of the advantages of Enlisted over other games,

Perfect example on why halftracks wouldnt work right now.
Artillery was fired every 30 seconds, suicide bombers, 2 tanks camping gray zone, everyone has grenade launchers, SFs, SMGs, LMGs, spamming explosion packs, rally points 20 metres from the objective, AA spam and so on
Attackers didnt get past the 1st objective every time. It was hell.
The only way to make halftracks work is to just rework a lot of the mechanics of the game. Otherwise they will just not work in normal matchmaking.

Although they are not present in the normal game mode, this does not affect the fact that these objects are already part of the game. The editor did deliberately remove some unit models, but please note that their stats are there, eg KV2, gaz AAA. The developers didn’t abandon these things
They are waiting to be presented in the game in a suitable way one day, and players can experience them.
