After playing around the the assault engineers to no surprise they’re super handy and powerful. But it’s a shame Japan’s assault rifle is still lackluster from what it should be (at least having its documented 30 round mag). Also that unfortunately both the Japanese and Allies assault engineers didn’t come with any cool body armour or armoured helmets like the USSR or Germans.

Well the premium Japanese biker squad has body armor, shouldn’t be too hard to implement that.

They should have given them the motorcycle squad body armor and glasses they would have looked unique at least.

Well the devs are putting really low effort lately copy paste apcs,copy paste stuff in the TT (and we removed exactly for this the old system not to grind same stuff on the campaigns and the devs now are putting same guns in every faction) and now the new squads are super boring from this event nothing unique about them they dont have unique looks or some secret mechanic having assault rifles for Japan is totally meh absolutely useless squad and no cool look …

It’s a huge wasted opportunity on their part not giving them body armor. That’s supposed to be half of the gimmick of why they were requested in the first place by the playerbase. That and carrying assault weapons, which it only comes as an advantage in BR V. But if you’re someone who enjoys playing low tier like me and building stuff, you’re better off with the standard engineers. You can get a radioman or a guy with an AT or one SMG guy etc. I don’t want to sound negative, but after unlocking them it does feel a bit lackluster and I haven’t even incoporated them into my deck for that reason. We were waiting for them for like two years and this is what we get.

Yeah tis sad it cant also use the other Type 2 SMGs at least would have been useful in lower BRs
