Well, those maps are special in themselves. Landing maps would probably stay as is, for the attackers at the very least.
I’d love halftracks and other vehicles in maps you gotta run a lot, such as Berlin train for example

Sure you are not erika with joe account?
very funny
unlike you, he is a visionary.
( must admit that out of all prominent and wider uses that halftracks could play, i think it can kinda do those roles above if played correctly )
but giving halftracks relatively to everyone… it’s… kinda ehhh
Because you answered instead of joe make my supposition even stronger
He asked for a rework for put them in, unlike you that in 45 topic keep asking for add them in the current game state
And as we said and m13 proved add halftracks Withaut rework make them usless to use, fun drive 20m and a tree stop you, or drive on a road and find a junkyard
you must be very blind.
it’s even in the bloody name:
hush hater.
h u s h.
Class rework not map rework
In general I’d like to see more varieties of vehicles.
Half-tracks would be useless or even detrimental on almost all existing maps.
Try to make erika understand this
For the moment, the way the game is now?
Probably.
It’s why DF needs, before implementing them, to enlarge the playing field first (which would solve the grey zone tank issue).
Tunisia Oasis map for example. Instead of focusing on a tiny fraction of the map at any given time, imagine if it’s entirety was open to play (or at least a big part, we will wanna see ppl), but original spawn points remained where they are throughout the match…
Then I guarantee those transports would be welcomed.
Being fair it would probably take a new mode entirely for it, with perhaps more players per side
(I’m being wishful again)
If not… halftracks and armoured cars would still be fun additions as sidegrades in a reworked campaign tree.
I like to dream.
I think the train map in Berlin shows that the grey zone can be opened up significantly without negatively affecting gameplay.
I love the idea of half-tracks and armored cars getting more use in this game. There are plenty of situations where they are entirely viable on current maps; light armor is still effective against small arms and there are already plenty of useful lightly-armored vehicles already in-game.
Halftracks need a proper campaign with a different approch on map, grinding, general gameplay
Actual campaign never should have them because their map are made for infantry cqc, tunisia is an exception in terms of open space, but still an exception wo is killed outiside oasis clauster of map
yes. and if they add them in tanks slot they will be useless and if they add them to riders, you will have half of the team as vehicles and that is stupid for game balance. best thing would be to increase map size, increase player count and then get them in separate rider spot. also optimize map for vehicles and get some more vehicle cover for half tracks.
They also need some tweaks. For ex. d-day, 2nd point, house variant: deffenders have their main spawnpoint about 30m away from the point. Wtf is that?
But that’s for different discussion I guess.
But is on slop mountain so is more than 30m
Depends on where you spawn. Once I was spawned here (purple)
It was literally 30m away from the point (blue).
Maybe it was a bug or sth.
Weird never spawned here
I spawned there only once. The ways of how code works are mysterious.
Regardless there’s a serious rework needed. Even with big maps, objectives need to be reworked to prevent dogpiling and tanking performance with the higher player counts.
Something like how vehicle selection worked during testing for RB Enduring Confrontation in War Thunder would be kino.
If you aren’t familiar, you earned points over time to be able to spawn in better vehicles, and there was a baseline you could always spawn.
So it could cost less time to spawn a transport in than a tank.
RB EC was removed of course because the game mode was just rampant spawnkilling
