Give soviets MG-34, Zb-26 or MG-15 mod

Do you know a Church at my avatat. Its a Leningrad which was blocked by finnish forces from a north about 872 days. Million of civilians there was sturving to death becouse of that blockade.

There were multiple reasons. Finland wanted to recover lost land, some wanted to make greater Finland and Finland also needed german weapons and wheat.

Funny part is that Finland never closed the encirclement nor didnt let germans use the finnish frontline to do it.

Sure, but the molotov requested permission from Germany to deal with Finland november 1940.
Aka same faith as baltics.

So it wasnt exactly just a fear of new invasion, it was more of a fact that it was coming.
Regardless, Germany rejected molotovs request.

Helsinki and other cities were bombed by soviets causing many civilian losses. Soviet partisans also attacked civilian settlements during continuation war. Both sides did bad stuff but maybe that wouldnt have happened if soviets didnt attack Finland in 1939

The “Winter War” lasted from November 30, 1939 to March 13, 1940. In the conditions of the outbreak of World War II, the USSR needed to secure Leningrad, from which Finland was only 32 km away. (As we might understand - he have a right to feel danger)

Stalin offered to move the border during the negotiations, and in return was ready to transfer twice as much territory in Soviet Karelia to the Finns. But the Finns categorically refused.

Moscow got the impression that the Finnish leadership was deliberately trying to provoke a military conflict. The shelling of Soviet territory by Finland in the autumn of 1939 was becoming more frequent. Finally, on November 26, the “Maynila incident” followed - Moscow recorded a new Finnish artillery raid and reported the deaths of Soviet soldiers. The USSR issued an ultimatum to Finland demanding the withdrawal of troops, and after its refusal on November 30, it switched to active hostilities.

And we can see how well that went.

Funny that Russian aggression is fine because of “security” concerns. Kinda see pattern here. But its murder when the Finns defend or want land back.
Also, there was no danger from Finland and probably would have remained if the Soviets didnt attack in first place. But maybe the Russian military was so bad that they indeed feared a nation with next to no air and tank force and a far smaller army with poor industry.

Because it would have resulted in loss of fortifications and because they didnt trust Stalin. Wonder why.
Also, 100% justifies bombing Finnish cities and attack Finland.

That was faked by the Russians.

Soviets shelling their own village to start the invasion. I thought this was common knowledge

Because it was a trap. Finland did not fall for it, soviets got mad and attacked, Finland beat their ass and soviets ”won”

Apparently not in Soviet Russia.

Thats

You mean - they have to go forward after a Mannerhaim line to Helsinky before?

Ahah lol
In March 1918, Finland attacked Russia. The reason was the persecution of the Red Finns. However, the true purpose of the invasion was to create “Greater Finland.”
By the end of 1918, the Finns, with the support of the Entente, occupied most of Soviet Karelia. According to the Tartu Peace Treaty, Soviet Russia made territorial concessions in the form of the Pechenga region and parts of the Rybachy and Sredny peninsulas. The Finns also retained the Karelian Isthmus with Vyborg.
However, in October 1921, a new Finnish aggression followed without declaring war. Defeated again, the Finns signed a new agreement in March 1922 recognizing the borders with the RSFSR.

You guys better read some history please

You didnt mean that Leningrad was blocked for like three years?

Didn’t know that 1918 was also 1939.

Big words, sir.
Do you have documents this time?

Finnish goverment did not support these ”Heimosodat” officially. They were just bunch of volunteers like the Finnish white guard who took areas that were inhabited by related Finnic peoples

We were talking about how many times finns cross the border, you ask about incident. Very vise)
