Give Germany an armored helmet

In an Ideal Enlisted we wouldn’t worry about armor and we just pick what cosmetics we like for now with a damage reduction on a “free” item for appearance tokens for USSR only it is unfair. IMO we just remove the damage reduction of all body armor and we all pick whatever we like… body armor doesn’t do too much but it can add up at range, short of removing the damage reduction they could keep it but get a 15-25% speed penalty which would balance things out and make you decide weather its worth the damage reduction or not.

quite sure its -10% from all dmg, nvm just torso.

For what ? Last deliberate headshot in this game was shot around 1952.

Soviet Body armor should only be available to, and worn only by assaulter engineers. The Dev’s need to correct that first, then they can debate on how much protection they provide. :upside_down_face:

BTW, if the Dev’s ever did do the right thing and correct their screw up, they should leave all premium squads that came with body armor alone so the people who paid for them don’t end up getting shorted.

Just remove vitality

The dev’s could, if they chose to do so remove vitality options for those who choose to wear body armor.

No, i mean just remove vitality for everyone. Russia gets to keep armor as is

We don’t need to make it worse by giving out even more “cosmetics” that are having even more % damage reductions out there. Just take away the damage reduction from body armors or make them have an inconsequential damage reduction values like 1%.

I’ve already explained that 1% breaks the TTK just as much as 10% does.

If we go historic on this, asssault engineers were not the only troops that used SN-42 cuirasses, also shock troopers (from shock armies) and sappers, so it wouldn’t be limited to a single class, it would also be available for assaulters and flametroopers.

Yes, flametroopers wore them as well. But according to searching, only Soviet Sapper (specifically an assault engineer-sapper) wore the armor, and they are not the same as a standard SMG Assault Squad, though they shared overlapping roles in close-quarters combat during World War 2. You can search cuz I am not always correct and maybe you’ll get different results, who knows, but this is what I had found. So, according to what I have seen, only Assaulter Engineers should get them…And I guess Flamer troops as well, since I was unaware of that. Either way, there is no reason that every Soviet solder should be able to wear it, and in the game every Soviet soldier can.
