Hey, i think good engineers can be decisive in battle outcome. So why they cant get some rewards when someone uses their buildings? For example, if someone replenished ammo from ammocrate, engi could get some XP points. Or if someone spawns on one of his spawn points. There wouldnt have to be rewards for sandbags for example. I suggest that engineers would get rewards for: If someone gets vehicle/infantry kill with their AA/AT guns, when enemy gets killed by barbed wire built by them, when someone replenishes ammo, or spawns on their spawn point that they built. Thanks for reading, i think engineer can be really good class, but now its just common soldier with building skills, this means that not much players want to play it, because low XP gain.
Agree. You should also get XP anytime you place something like sandbags or ammocrates. I often run out of ammo because nobody is playing as engineer and actually places some ammocrates.

If that’s all instances that give engineers experience, it’s not enough.
Barbed wire is not there to deal damage, it’s there for area denial. Thus it needs to give engineer experience when an enemy receives damage or dies from any source while being near it.
Fortifications are there to provide cover for your team. It makes sense for them to give experience when allies kills someone while being near your cover.
if enemy steps in it, they are doing area not really are denial, but slow the enemy. so if it gets damaged and deal damage, both way who ever placed that, gain xps.
just, if you place a sandbag, and if it get destroyed, you gain xp. or that’s what sergey and alvan said.
that wound be an endless farm of xp. the same for spotting mechanic. that’s something the devs want to avoid.
and stop other engineers from breaking your shit cause they want people to use their beacon
