I love Carcano mod 38. due to very fats bolt speed and sights of Carcano m1918 feels very accurate and easy to aim.
I hate VG 2 and Springfield the most
SMLE Mk.3 is very very good.
K98k - best bolt action in the game. Amazing sights, very accurate, fast ROF.
M91/30 - really good BA but slower than K98k
Lee Enfield No4 - really good rifle, 10 shots, fast ROF, the sights are good, but not the best

and uh, the last carcano you unlock is quite nice.
Most of the Mosin/Nagants are kind of eh, they don’t do great damage and they miss sometimes,
early carcanos have some accuracy issues but are fine overall. Starting caracano sniper is better than the kar98k versions though, because the better handling is worth it when you already have the sniper accuracy boost.
Kar98k is a slow firing gun, but its accuracy is impeccable and it does great damage, so its one of my favorite bolt actions, certainly my favorite starting gun.
PzB is a sad panda that I think gets somewhat unfairly punished compared to the absurdly heavy PTRD that somehow fires faster.
The springfield is jank, SMLE is pretty rad.

Vz24 is my bolt action of choice.
I just like everything about it. In Moscow, they are basically a backbone of my trooper weapons.

best bolt action of the ww2 maybe, Carcanos were based on Mannlicher designs which were great, but the mauser 98 system is generally the best considering its reliability,safety, accuracy, high end perfected performance even during WW1 which is incredible, its succesful use at WW1 all the way throughout WW2 not only by germany, including after WW2 also by other countries and its used to this day …
besides you may know all too well czechoslovakia bought entire production lines of G98 after WW1 and evolved them to Vz.24 while germany evolved them into K98 so imo these all rifles should perform much better then they are performing ingame now

Coudnt agree more, i love both rifles tbh. I just hope they will buff BA just like in Stalingrad and that will be weapon of choice everytime.
