Perhaps the development team likes these useless efforts. There are tons of meh stuff like this in the game.
These things exist but cannot be selected because something with better performance covers them.
I don’t think the new BR-MM will make these things become somehow useful in specific cases, because players will almost immediately choose MP40 or something similar.
I really don’t know if they thought about making these things useful. Or that they don’t care about it. Maybe they don’t care.

Even now, in the two campaigns where the Allies landed on the beaches in game, we don’t even have a landing craft landing scene.
Can you expect the Incheon landings you have these things?
What can you expect if they expand into what they call Modern Battles. You expect the jet to turn into just another suicide missile. You’re also unlikely to expect robot dogs or drones in Modern Warfare. Even Arcade 2042 you can find a lot of videos of these gameplay elements.

it woudn’t surprise me if they do because they know that cold war and modern day equipment is very profitable, it’s why they expanded into 90s MBT despite saying they wouldn’t go past korea in war thunder
honestly tho, after so many patches, nerfs and buffs, it seems like the MP40 is actually a pretty good weapon.
