Maybe if the flamethrowers would explode on hitting a tank, players would start using them more judiciously.
Except fuel tank explosion is pure hollywood magic.
Although I donât know if we care at this point.
Film fiction is the burning of everything around, which sometimes happened. But it is not fiction that a tank hit by a bullet would explode and kill the flamethrower operator and injure nearby soldiers.
By a shell? Probably. Though more likely it would splash everything around in burning fuel rather than explode.
By a bullet? Most likely no.
I donât know if you know, but thereâs such a thing as a tracer bullet.
There are also incendiary bullets.
These will cause the mixture to ignite.
And I corrected the mistake. Sometimes when I type in the translator, I donât look at how he translated.
Thatâs why I said most likely. Tracer and incendiary bullets werenât common in infantry weapons.
Lead was common and it wouldnât ignite the fuel fumes (both lead and copper donât create sparks). All it would do is a preassure leak.
And even incendiary bullets may have problems with exploding the tank.
If we assume everything is âby the bookâ, flamethrowers would use nitrogen to propel the fuel. So if youâd manage to pearce both tanks (fuel+propelant) there might not be enough oxygen around to mix with fumes and explode.
You may end up with a burning jet from the tank though.
Also there are other things to concider like fuel being basically a jelly (at least in case of M2). I have no idea how well it would create fumes.
Or reduced pressure in the fuel tank (again, at least in case of M2).
At least thatâs the theory.
It can be said, i am all for FF, in a few posts here and there.
but always been pointed out to me, that it is a player number issue, i understand, np
i never played the arcade version of games,
was always the online, FF servers, of those games, i played on, and enjoyed the most.
Hence why i think FF here, it would slow game down, but not enough people, know how to play with FF, with people play styles these days.
