Devs assured that we are not going to see tiger 2 in moscow but i have another idea about low tier weapons like g41, nearly all bolt actions, grb etc…
Seeing some prewar design in berlin or normandy is not anachronistic. We already have that ( mp28 in moscow, kar 98 in every campaign. …)
I propose squads with low tier/older weapon should be able to play in every map.

all newbies will be able to experinece all maps without need to have high gear.
But if you have tiger 2 or is 2, you probably will not end up in stalingrad or moscow
Yeah, you can literally pick them with higher BR stuff, but I really dont see any reason why should anyone be defending Normandy with only BA & pz II
in my opinion the worst thing is that mp3008 and kar98 kriegsmodell got low BR based on their performance thus there is possibility that those will be used in moscow. I think that BR in this case should “artificially” be based on corresponding years , that way mp3008 and other guns got higher BR and can happen only at berlin.
1- br says you wont face sherman jumbo with pz 2
2- bolt actions are in every campaign

Thats not how br works, if you bring a pz2 alongside soldiers with stg44s you will get placed in late war, the minimum does nothing, the max does
I agree with this, i 100% understand that br should also be used for balance and progression and all of that, but with weapons like these that probably nobodys going to use anyways a artificial br should be the way to go

But they COULDNT use is2 in moscow

wdym by that? there are a fuck ton of people in war thunder who bring bt7s to fight leopards, its going to happen trust me

Well, so is Fedorov and avs if we are being honest, yet we find them in Berlin atm… Considering, I don’t think it’s a big problem.
I think these late war simplified weapon with lower power are rare exceptions, to it may be a better idea to put them in high BR so they are just like “removed from techtree” but people may still play it only for uniqueness.
