As someone who plays solo 95% of the time (My friends list is littered with people who never respond) I do not think people will be modifying their names like a bunch of sock puppets. Why brand yourself like a FPS whore that is the big problem I have with clans :).

tbh I just think its cool
It should be ad hoc, drop in drop out little commitment. I play a lot and I expect the people I play with to also be around. Again my friends list is littered with people who I have many at most played 1-2 games with.
