If the Jumbo got APCBC, I might consider moving it up to Panther or Tiger level a fair move, but since it has solid shell AP right now, it’s fine where it is IMO.

however the m4a2 must get m62 APHE shells while jumbo is pretty fine with m72 since it’s at least got an upside to it

I prefer to have specific restrictions for each map, for example Omaha Beach, it’s amazing that there are planes and tanks on the axis, and it’s amazing that the alliance can deploy Jumbos and M10 on the beach, it would be better to replace it with a specially modified M4 (only this tank is allowed). After all, the game doesn’t consider how the map stacks up against the offensive and defensive teams at all. Maybe in the future when there is Operation Market Garden, the Allies can have Jumbos, don’t ask why, maybe they were dropped?
well if they ever fix that you dont lose all your crew on m10 with constantly replacing the killed commander i would consider not replacing the jumbo. it is pretty pointless now even with m10 having better penetration. it performs worse against infantry, is getting slaughtered by infantry cause commander and has overall worse armor than jumbo, so is getting slaughtered by any other tank.
at least jumbo can survive most panther/tiger players even though he cant kill them frontally…
I strictly run the M4A1 because it is the only proper American tank that has a shell with any sort of post pen. Don’t care about armor and the penetration is good enough.

well that is only decent tank. cause it can actually pen tiger and panther, while not being so vulnerable to infantry that you lose majority of your crew cause commander was peaking outside the hatch. would prefer better performance against infantry though, both tiger and jumbo outperform it in that regard (more tnt in he shells).
Well yeah, if you want anti-Infantry, everything other than the Stuart and Puma outpreform the M4A1, but I don’t really use tanks to fight infantry, I use them to kill all the German tanks, then drop 5 guys with Thompsons onto a point.
that is why it is lackluster compared to competition. for end game tank only thing that makes it good is that it can kill german end game tanks. german tanks have much better HE, can penetrate all tanks and have frontal armor invulnerable to anything before m10 (well you could include firefly, but premium).
if they put APCBC or APCR ammo in jumbo, it could comfortably replace m4a1 and be competitive against tiger.
Well with APCBC you would still need to flank the Tiger and Panther to do anything, but now you actually have oneshot potential.
well under 100m you could pen tiger frontally at least… something that was impossible with normal AP under any distance.
True, but the 76mm would still be more useful IMO. It’s just me though, and you are free to think otherwise.
APCR would be more useful, cause then you could have great AP and great HE with great armor. it would be more or less equivalent to tiger in every category. just tiger would then need slight buff to its AP pen values. and while 76mm is more useful against tanks now, it just doesnt have that end game flavor like tiger.
Only issue with APCR is that is is bugged. The Premium Jumbo has it, and you can go play with it yourself. After penning, it basically just tickles whatever it touches so you can’t even ammo rack the tigers.
thers a reason the only way you can kill a jumbo is shoting the cog in the front of the treds. If that aint screwed up lol then nieiter is the jumbo not ammo rakin tigers
You can kill a Jumbo with any tank anywhere on the side, through the MG port and with overpressure if you are good enough. It’s far from unkillable, just learn where and how to kill it.

They re added HE efectiveness on tanks finaly? They removed that a long time ago lol cause the cry babbys wher geting smoked by HE. I know I talked abought what gijin gave us back durina tunisa event. I know the alies did get a P38 on Normandy while axis got a sword. This tank dont show up on the list of rank its in your viecal selection as I said since I dont play alies I cant see it. At least not on the low lvl one. its the late version of the p38 for normandy

I acauly kindia agree they sucked so bad at the start lol but when your goin up aginsed the M4s HE worked amazing over AP. As I said befor the reason japs lost vers Destroyers wher cause AP whent right through. if they used HE theyd never stood a chance. But Gijin removed it making it totaly usless.
If they re did that. Im glad they un did ther screw up…
