I have all factions at BRV and built an impressive army. But I went back and started building the BR II and III. I must say I really like the lower BR, I guess I had got lost in the grind when trying to get V. I know many do that here, any suggestions on these builds? Would like to get a BR1 but it is time consuming
BR 1 & 2 are both very fun, sometimes bolt action is all you need
I’ve been playing mostly BR 2-3 recently; it’s more enjoyable when there aren’t jets spamming respawn points with impunity. I’ve also tried BR 1-2 and I’d say there’s more map variety than in higher BR levels. If you’re asking which squadrons to use, I’d recommend at least two assault squadrons and one machine gun or engineer squadron.
It’s no secret that I prefer lower BRs, mainly to help newbies, but it also feels more authentic. I like the mix of BA rifles and SMGs. Definitely feels more era appropriate.
And it’s less of a sweat-fest than high BR matches. ![]()
With automatic rifles and assault rifles being dominant in high BRs, it’s definitely more enjoyable to play at a “relaxed” pace. It’s also fun to support new players, especially by building rallies or pushing objectives. The downside is that sometimes there are players so new they don’t even seem to know they can use rallies to attack faster.
I have completed the German tech tree, but still need to upgrade all my squads with the rights soldiers and points etc, and I grind this process at BR2. Cannot lie, it is a lot of fun and the slower combat results in more fulfilling gameplay rather than feeling a bit cheated by a stray rocket killing your whole team or one dude having a cheeky angle and leaning out a window and gunning down your whole squad. BR2 is where its at!!!
If you have spare squads and Silver to burn, you can make squads yourself for different BRs. I play a lot of BR II & BR III (with some occasional BR IV) at the minute since I used to play BR V 24/7, and there are so many unique rare guns I’ve earned from Silver chests, events or prior Battle Pass seasons that I never touched. Now I run rare guns almost permanently even if not the meta (think Springfield Pedersen device, Krez P13, Patchett just for USA) and it reinvented the game for me.
You can also make individual soldier presets too to save time if you have some spare or unused.
But this is very true:
Sometimes going “back to basics” really scratches that itch.
even the big PP shapintly is cracked at br2
I am really enjoying BRIII, seems more true to history. I dont miss the jets even though I am very effective with them.
yup, for me soviets br 3 if you wanna play later
I find it interesting, technically getting really good with bolt actions require much more skill than using the full auto guns of BR5 - yet because the weapons are so much more powerful in BR5, just one little mistake can get your entire squad wiped in under a second.
I guess all BRs can be a sweat fest, but BR5 just plays much faster.
