Fg gang

it means little to you, but of course it went over your head

from berlin public alpha 1st april 2020:

(notice the silver cards on the top right corner)

camos matching the helmets:

vg1-5 avaiable to every type of soldier: (that, i trully miss) weapon was amazing! / the fg42 description on that photo.

i remember the first time i unlocked this gun and used it on a Berlin map. had everything i wanted the fg to be in a game x). was a pure killing machine.

now a days , its a nice gun ngl, but way too overated for what it is imo.

Quite enjoyable isn’t it?

But maybe I can meme about the people who are loudly crying way harder than they should be about every piece of german equipment they can and calling anyone disagreeing with them Axis mains in a way that implies they have no right to their opinion because they are Axis mains? I’m open to discussion as long as the other side doesn’t try to invalidate my point of view by saying the game will only be balanced if the Allies get M4A1 rifles and A10s and the Axis weapons get replaced by the artillery Luger and He-51, maybe a Pz I prototype if they feel generous (I’m being a little overdramatic but you get the point).

Yeah, it was like that.
Did anyone complain? No, everybody was fine with it. But devs changed it anyway because reasons!

I think it might be because of the weird nature of the FG. It’s supposed to be a rifle when you need it to be a rifle, and an MG if you need an MG.

they had alot, alot of complaints about the fg on cuisine royal discord (was the only oficial topic to discuss enlisted back then)

fg42 was too much of a gun back then. ammo/power/recoil/sights, everything. was limited to a single squad, sure. but was enough to make a diference.

both german players and soviets complained about it. wasnt balanced.

So devs decided to give it to everybody.
Balanz :upside_down_face:

Or you point out to them how they are making the same arguments about the Panther, Axis players did about the Jumbo. Then they get all pissed about that being a whole different case lol

right now its a shadow from what it was in the alpha. still, a good gun, but isnt what it was.
recoil wise, ammo, bulet dispersion … right now its a good gun, a nerfed one, but imo. way better options to choose from.
and, dont forget… limit the vg1.5 to a single squad type insted x)

ps: fg42-II feels more like the alpha variant now a days if we dont regard the ammo in reserve.

reminder that almost all german tanks could frontally pen jumbo from about 250m out while the jumbo needs to get point blank to do the same for panther :upside_down_face:

Still it doesn’t justify what they did. You don’t buff (giving it to everybody is a buff imo) and nerf the gun at the same time.
