I still hope someday Britain and Italy will be separated from USA and Germany respectively, and into their own full-fledged nations with their own fleshed out tech trees of squads, weapons, equipment, vehicles, etc.
on the condition that if they remove the
grant
sten
bren ect
they do not get to have
the garand
the thompson
bar
springfield or other us weapons
either they share weapons or the only get there weapons
uk does not get to pilfer uk/commonwealth toys and us toys this will not be a bad divorce
I still think 9000 is too much, should be 8950 at max.
…And now that I have my load-but-never-fire gun (I always got killed by the time I loaded it with ammo, except once), thank you for this event, it was fun!
I missed the Carcano and did not think it’s fair to have the same side with faster APC and an all-around tank, but it was nearest both to the historically somewhat believable battles and the preferred map system I wish ever since the merge. But giving a medic TNT so when I routinely rotate to medbox and drop the TNT instead was mischievous.
I thought my intention is apparent even without a smiley, but these are hard times…
But if you want a real feedback, 6000-7000 is the proper score limit for current event, 9000 had a negative impact on my sleep amount even if I enjoyed it, sometimes I was too slow/unlucky and my futile attempts to build a rally point resulted in only 1000-1500-ish score per match if the opponent was steamrolling. Also with the lag sometimes it was near impossible to hit bots, they stop-go-stop-go knowing exactly when I’ll miss due to lag. (Normally it’s called “skill issue” but I’m sure these bots are not on the forum so I blame them.)
Seems I attempted to be funny and failed.
In the screenshot above I missed the daily chore by 30 points, and because I started my comments here stating 9000 is too much…
…then that it isn’t…
it seemed proper to finish with a comment yes it is too much, should be a teensy bit less.
My actual suggestion for my mental health is this:
I get it now, but yea it wasn’t that easy to catch considering how many karens like to shout about such things here.
As for the points thing I guess thats fair, I personally have 0 issues with it as Im quite good and also have a lot of free time, but understandable that not everyone could have everything as easy going
Do I really need to spell out how a 19th century auto fire rifle prototype which wasn’t even used in WW1, let alone WW2, will be now amongst the most powerful weapons in the game, placed on high BR?
In terms of balance this event is the worst we have ever seen. As others have pointed out the allies get better weapons (br3 sniper rifle vs br1 sniper rifle, their guns have a lot better accuracy and bullets/mag, lee enfield is superior to both the mannlicher and the armaguerra in these aspects, armored apc with mg vs sdkfz truck with no armor and guns). Most games feel like if it would be a 3 v 3 with 7 bots that try to act like humans.
The idea of the even fight event is welcome, and hopefully the devs will release better even fight events in the future but this event is often times a seal clubbing fest of veteran players vs noobs and some of the weapons are completely unbalanced (sniper, bolt action rifle, tanks). If the attacker team cannot capture the first point in 5 minutes they are guaranteed to lose. (Same happens in Tunisia normal battles, nothing suprising…) This was kind of solved with paratroopers to prevent hardcamping this is why the allies’ winrate dropped when the OG-43 squads were released back in the day.
As for the rewards, almost everyone would have been more hyped if the rewards were either more unique or more useful.
One of the things that I definitely liked about the event was that you actually KNEW which theatre of war you will play on the entire time. Reminded me so much of the old, pre-merge Enlisted. I do not know about you guys, but I never liked the randomness of the locations we got after the merge.
Finally people realize what we lost the freedom to play the theaters you like and actually to have 6 factions since UK and Italy where real factions back then despite having limited equipment.
correct me if i am wrong but the old campaign system if applying the new br system
would the campaigns have been ±0 ±1
then i am fine with a reversion
but from what i recall it was more ±2 in which case hell no we just escaped the hell of stock shermans seeing tiger 2’s
Not really, for exemple in Moscow campaign you can use some guns wich they are actually in br5 (like the fedorov avtomat for exemple).
An other exemple: in Normandy , I was able to use my Tiger 1 against some Stuart and Sherman …and the terrible Jumbo
Before the merge, if you wana something more historical you can mix kar and stg in the same squad for exemple, now it’s really hard to play in hight br against proto lazer SF guns with bolt action
Maybe I can share some feedback about this event.
It wasn’t exactly an “Even Fight,” because the teams were clearly not balanced — as many people mentioned in the posts above.
The use of predefined squads is something the community strongly dislikes, which is also very obvious from the feedback here.
On the positive side, similar to the recent Market Garden and Soviets vs Japan events, you can still earn upgrades for the predefined squads — as long as you have those squads unlocked. For me, it’s a mixed bag, since I already have everything unlocked and fully upgraded for Germany and Italy.
However, I really dislike that we cannot rearrange or rearm the squads, and that skill redistribution is also locked. I guess it is technically fair since both sides have the same limitation, but it still feels restrictive.
Another thing I don’t enjoy is the lack of bayonets (not to mention axes and swords), which makes charging practically impossible.
Then there’s the grind — the gain in silver and research points feels noticeably lower compared to regular matches, which takes away some of the motivation to play the event.
To summarize: it was still playable, and I can’t complain too much, especially since we got to play on Africa maps, which I personally enjoy.
What I really don’t like, though, is the reward structure.
In previous events, we received more weapons and, more importantly, event squads — and here there are none.
I believe the rewards could have included:
A new event squad (or two squads - one per side).
A new vehicle — not just a vehicle skin. Vehicles are a sensitive topic, since Gaijin often copies content from War Thunder but sells it at a higher price, and many very interesting vehicles never make it into Enlisted at all (like AA vehicles and special variants, not to talk about tanks and planes).
Legacy campaign squads that are no longer obtainable, and not everyone owns (e.g., the 46th Infantry Division Rifle Squad, the 7th British engineer squad, Italian 101st motorized Division 65th Infantry Regiment and 1st Infantry Division 92nd Infantry Regiment, etc.).
Some previously removed premium/thematic squads (such as the 8th Bersaglieri Regiment, 1st Company Giaguaro, 2/24th Battalion (UK), 2/4th Commando Squadron (UK), etc.) could have been listed to the market during the event.
More weapons — not just one MG and one AR. I would suggest at least three MGs and four ARs, so players could fully equip a standard MG and Assault squads.
To emphasize the issue with unit rewards - Gaijin did not provide any of the already existing content in this event except for several premium squads that are already listed on the market. Feel free to add any squads I may have missed below:
