I think it’s because both are now classified as a “Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle” which mind you, the Lee Enfield isn’t, in real life, (unlike the Ross Rifle) but it’s said that it had one of the smoothest bolt cycling operations.
Still…Mannlicher, only 5 rounds, Lee Enfield, 10 rounds.
I’m pretty sure I saw a lewis squad with British army captain caps, but when I checked loadouts couldn’t find the squad with lewis guns? Were they bots?
So when do German tanks start historically running out of fuel, or German being mostly armed with the k98 rifle. Historical isn’t they made a few thousand of them fg42, so everyone at br5 can get one
Kingdom of Italy: Captured on the Italian Front and received as war reparations.[29] By 1937, over 200,000 M.95s in the original caliber were stockpiled in Italian East Africa.[30] They were predominately used by colonial troops. These are often marked AOI for Africa Orientale Italiana . Rifles captured by the British were shipped to India as trainers
This is from Wikipedia, so, not the most thrustworthy of sites. Still…it’s something!
Considering that Italy had 200k of them, and most of them were used by colonial troops, we could just assume that instead of Tunisia this is the east africa campaign
On the one hand we have 200k of foreign captured weapons chambered for a foreign cartridge, and on the other hand we have 5-6 million of domestic standard issue rifles chambered for standard domestic cartridge.
But in the event we have the foreign one because… “it reload fast”.
I like this format a lot, speak for yourself. It’s a great variety from normal games and the same boring squads I always use. I also really just like having a dedicated Tunisia playlist for a while, really fun.
I was thinking the same thing. A regular, rotating “campaign” event where specific loadouts recreate specific historic battles on certain maps. While the normal, tech tree matches exist as standard.
Having a “campaign” style as a rotating event would be good because people could get a chance to play historic battles with accurate squads and gear, but it wouldn’t have the ‘too many queues’ problem of old campaign system, since it would just be one alternate “campaign event” at a time.
In italian east africa, they had 250k troops during the east africa campaign
And most of these 200k were in this area
So logically, most of these troops would use the Mannlichers, because why ship them Carcanos through hostile territory if most of them will be lost or captured. May as well use what’s already there.
Right?
