Come to think of it, why is there an Italian tank as reward but just Semovente in event, with little to no AI capability
It’s not a tank reward, it’s just a skin for an existing tank.
On the one hand we have 200k of foreign captured weapons chambered for a foreign cartridge, and on the other hand we have 5-6 million of domestic standard issue rifles chambered for standard domestic cartridge.
But in the event we have the foreign one because… “it reload fast”.
Pretty much. Some other source I read said that they only issued these to colonial units, not frontline soldiers.
Historically accurate weapons for Italy in the new event
If Italy had these weapons it would be much better
9k xp?
even fight daily grind?
no thanks. i enjoyed these even fight events a lot more when they didnt have grind for rewards.
I like this format a lot, speak for yourself. It’s a great variety from normal games and the same boring squads I always use. I also really just like having a dedicated Tunisia playlist for a while, really fun.
I was thinking the same thing. A regular, rotating “campaign” event where specific loadouts recreate specific historic battles on certain maps. While the normal, tech tree matches exist as standard.
Having a “campaign” style as a rotating event would be good because people could get a chance to play historic battles with accurate squads and gear, but it wouldn’t have the ‘too many queues’ problem of old campaign system, since it would just be one alternate “campaign event” at a time.
In italian east africa, they had 250k troops during the east africa campaign
And most of these 200k were in this area
So logically, most of these troops would use the Mannlichers, because why ship them Carcanos through hostile territory if most of them will be lost or captured. May as well use what’s already there.
Right?
I hate 1:1 balance, having different nations play differently make the game more thoughtful and unique
Huh?
How do you think the Austrian Mannlichers made their way to Africa?
I appreciate you trying to find reasoning for Mannlicher, but let’s be real:
Soviets - Mosin, Germans - Kar98k, Japanese - Arisaka, Brits - Lee Enfield, Americans - M1903/Garand, Italians - Carcano
I remember, some guy was asking me to give the Germans more guns in one of my mods because “The Kar98k is boring and doesn’t compare to the Garand”
Give him kar 98k kriegsmodell and kar 98k prewar
These guns were captured in WWI and made their way to Africa far before WWII broke out and used during Italy’s colonial wars.
Sure, I don’t think many frontline troops used them against the British, but they had these guns.
And what would stop the Italians from sending send Carcanos before WWII broke out as well?
They had millions of those. Even decided they had enough stockpilke to start switching to the new cartridge Carcano.
Exactly, so while they had access to Mannlichers, I’m sure most Italians used the Carcano. Again, it’s just there in the game now to “balance” out the Lee Enfields.
Don’t think that was used in Normandy
That is the only Kar98 variant I used
Because they’re basically garrison troops, why waste the good shit on them?
You do know Italy sent more troops from homeland to Africa after WW2 broke out right?
The “garrison troops” who were stationed there were so second-tier that the Brits captured over 130,000 of them in 1940.
So overwlehming majority of Italian soldiers who fought in 1941-43 were sent from Italy proper and with Carcanos in hand.
