If that’s the case, what does it mean for Enlisted?
If modern infantry and vehicles are going to be implemented in War Thunder, I feel like that basically eliminates any real chance of Cold War or modern warfare ever coming to Enlisted. How is Enlisted going to be handled going forward?
To be honest, I think Enlisted has already shown pretty much all the WWII infantry weapons and vehicles it can, so I don’t really expect there to be much left in terms of new weapons that would feel like fresh content.
I’m wondering if there are any plans to upgrade the game and bring some change, for example by applying the new motion system used in Active Matter to Enlisted as well.
I hold a pessimistic attitude, Gaijin clearly cares more about WT. You can easily open a YouTube video and see WT’s advertisement, while enlisted has been forgotten.
guns i agree, but there are far more tanks and planes to add
second its not just gear but many battlefields have not been added
nor weapons from smaller countries we have not seen
there is a lot of ww2 to be added
if you like high br good for you
but not everyone wants to see the game suffer the way other war games have
high brs with automatic weapons is not the point of enlisted
a lot of people like bolt action and semi autos more not less
yes for the people waiting for br6 it might be the end for those who love br 1 2 3 there is far more to come
Polish the custom mode a bit and add some solo mode features. So at least players can still play after the support is off.
Let’s be real. Enlisted is already in maintance mode, so no major changes will come. Warthunder just speeds up the whole process. Just prepare for the inevitable eos.
We understand your concerns, but the Infantry Mode in War Thunder is being developed by the War Thunder developers as a completely separate and new gamemode, and it does not affect the development of Enlisted.
The Enlisted team is still currently focused on this month’s new major update, alongside plans for the next major updates of 2026. SITREPs are also something we will continue to post in the future to keep you all up to date with the progress of the game!
I guess people shouldn’t be pessimistic but rather optimistic.
Imagine Warthunder and Enlisted might eventually merge into one game. Obviously there is risk for both games loosing their individuality, but a massive battlefield with tons of players on each side - could be the fuel to launch something like “Warthunder 2”
20 vs 20 infantry players
10 vs 10 tank player
10 vs 10 pilot players
→ all on the same map, where each type of role the player picks gets him to do individual secondary objectives.
Planes needing to attack and defend artillery bases, that influence the infantry combat zones, tanks encircling cities to break AI driven supply trucks, infantry fighting over one massive radar station in the centre of the map - who ever controls it gets radar spotting in the air.
The possibilities are endless to create deep and engaging gameplay - as are the possibilities to mess it up.
Honestly its more, if they launched a WT2, I dont have the spirit to regrind everything I got in WT and in Enlisted again, not to mention all my rare vehiclrs and weapons I would lose forever.
Depends, maybe we get to keep our unique Enlisted units.
Well a full “Warthunder 2” is probably not gonna happen cuz Warthunder is one of those forever games that just gets updated until human kind seizes to exist.
I see it as a positive that they will have the opportunity to copy and paste even more assets between the games (Enlisted, WarThunder, Active Matter […]). WarThunder being Gaijins Golden Goose, I hope they will finally invest in some motion captured soldier animations and make soldiers general looking more alive.
