currently many players do not use engineers correctly, instead of building a rally point, ammo box or fortifying the place to be defended, many use this class only as riflemen, a rally point or a fortification in a defense location sometimes it makes the difference between losing or winning a match, so I think players should have an extra incentive in this class
Here is some reading material for ya.
Do these sound like the changes you think need to be made?
exactly, this would make the engineer class more meaningful in a match, and encourage more players to build
Bro, you REALLY gotta stop saying this on every single post. The helpers have even said that continuous negative comments toward the devs will result in them not paying attention to posts and therefore passing them on.
Think it to yourself if you wish, but please stop posting it.
I could agree with that one but they need to bring back stackable sandbags I’m losing my head a lot since I can’t cover my head anymore It’s hard to defend a position which you can’t build cover to defend your head when the camera is still broken
I agree they need to bring back sandbag stacks. I asked again today, and I intend to keep asking incrementally. Nothing has been said about it which could be a good thing or a bad thing.
On one side of it, they could just be simply ignoring it.
On the other side of it, they might not say anything about it, and change it back quietly. As its one of those things that the anti-defender people absolutely lose their minds over, because it can make such a big difference. They don’t want to piss people off, so doing it quietly would be the better option.
Especially when you’re fighting PC players any crack in your armor will get you killed.
But still they need to fix the camera that’s more important otherwise all that cover doesn’t mean anything A camera still located in our neck and not in our left eye so when we think we’re in cover Well we’re not in cover
I don’t know. In the battle pass, there is a task to destroy 15 vehicles with stationary weapons built by engineers “should be sappers”.
And the number of Czech hedgehogs, entanglements and sandbags increased by 500%.
So you say that rewarding players for actions encourages them to do said acrions.
Trully amazing discovery. I hope scientists will begin to research this topic one day.
(Sarcasm directed torwards ppl who questioned rewarding players for positive actions because reasons.)
Sarcasm. I know most of the players that came to Enlisted to run assaulters. And they have three teams of 4 assaulters. Without an engineer and without a radio operator, and they shout the loudest at the time that a rallypoint is needed.
I consider engineering teams to be very versatile teams, and they have almost unlimited ammo.
I think if you stop wasting your time being sarcastic, and learn to read, you might understand that I didn’t say anything about giving extra points to players, but encouraging players to use the class more effectively.
I was replying to mistrzrozruba.
But thanks to “improvements” on the forum, it’s hard to tell who replied to who.
As for your suggestion. Sorry but it’s really shallow. “Make ppl use engineers more” Ok but how? Share some ideas.
In that case I apologize, I thought the comment was directed at me
I think that one of the improvements to encourage the engineers’ constructions could be stronger constructions, more durable against indirect attacks from grenades, dynamite and artillery, in this case the sandbag barriers that could be stronger and better absorb explosions ( this would help A LOT in defense matches ), an explosive box for grenade recharging could also be added
the addition of tier 3 engineers, with more heavy builds such as a small size bunker and larger cannons, such as the flak 88
I love playing engineers and support classes but i have just recently removed the engineer squad from my lineup and I dont think Ill bring it back any time soon.
The reason why - is what is the point in them? I have 1 or two engineers in EVERY team so I can always build ammo and spawn points, but like people have said - theres nothing else they can really do thats worth the effort.
The tank gun and AA are so situational that there generally no point in them at all, so right away why use a team slot?
On a slight tangenet but linked - I see basically no one with artillery squads use smoke - even tho it it the single best thing ever and can turn the tide of a battle easily. They dont use it because its smoke or artillery and artillery gets you XP.
Why not let the engineers have radio guys but one that can ONLY call in smoke and have teh smoke timer completely sperate to the teams artillery so they dont have to wait for ppl to stop using artillery to call in smoke?
ooh also - if you buff the stength of fortifications - it would mean engineers were more important on the attack to remove them too.
and you could give demo charges a buff against fortifications so ppl could use those too.
