But in a way that really matters? The only significant objective difference is open top, which makes it very easy to destroy…but at the same time, 20mm guns go straight through the top armor of stugs and Panzers
so if they are sitting back, doing their thing, sniping like TDS do…theres not much difference objectively.
anyway doesnt matter.

Do they? Hispanos maybe. But namely Soviets 20mm didn’t seem to be any effective against tanks.
I am just asking, because that’s what I experienced. I don’t have facts to back it up, just feelings.

Soviet canons wreck in general from right angle. 20mms get it done but Especially anything with a 37mm NAS.
Im pretty sure ALL Soviet 20mm belts have an AP round, 37s are all AP

Can confirm. In one match I lost 3 crewman in my stug because of IL-2’s canon. I wasn’t happy.

just FYI soviet 20mms have more pen than All hispanos…28mm vs 17-24 mm

Practice with the 20mms, But take advantage of the IL-2 37mm and Yak 9k at BR 3 (if you have it)
Its alot of fun wrecking tanks with guns (and anything that flies too)

I think at this point they just need to add a better StuG (Late G, TT G or StuH) at BR III so the F can end up being a filler like the Pz IV F2.

how about BR 2?
Its a glass canon tank you can destroy it easily while getting chance to get one shotted
STUG A has too little ammo and only HEAT and APHE and too much smoke.
I would pick a regular Panzer III J over that sad Stug every day.
In my book Stug A should have HE and HEAT, because it can not function as a Infantry support vehicle when it has no HE, no MG and too few HEAT rounds.
Also German tanks all have effectively 50mm of armor up until you unlock Panthers, so I pick BR1 - BR3 tanks for Germany entirely by looking at their firepower.
Tier 1 its exagerated
