Probably a lot of players are leveling late war stuff for after the merge. And by the way not long ago it was completely the other way around.

I tried to play another game and everything is the same. We defended on the Gare-de-Saint-Lo map.
The fight lasted 17 minutes, or mathematically more precisely, we managed to defend each base for about 3 minutes.
I made 3 rally points that were used only 3 times. Platoons from our team regularly take a longer route and come to the defense of the base from more distant rally points. Of course, half of them don’t even get to defend themselves.
I don’t know why I’m wasting time going to the rear to make a rally point and then coming back to the front when it’s completely pointless.
In addition to the regular enemy infantry groups that attacked our bases, we were overwhelmed at each and every base by paratroopers who constantly smashed our flanks and rear at every base.
There is literally no way to defend yourself. This is impossible and this is unplayable.
You don’t know where to turn first and what to defend first, and no matter where you stand - it doesn’t work. There is no tactic here, you can’t even make one, just mindless shooting and retreating.

normandy is skewed cause of event and everyone is playing allies cause of event squad. today the tide will turn when people get axis paratroopers.
and moscow allies have playerbase advantage so it is easier for allies to win. but from my experience both sides win and usually there are no one sided stomps like tunisia, pacific or current normandy.
Your problem is not Grant or Sherman.
