Directx 12 missing

if there is something hateful it is precisely removing material options from the game without even the decency to give an explanation I am truly bitter today I wanted to play but I skip and skip until they put the directx 12 back and not in (BETA) we are in 2026 this beta is ridiculous if the updates are not stable do not release them and then remove them a few days later all this is embarrassing and ridiculous

They’ve simply disabled DX12 because it’s apparently causing problems. I and many others can’t play the game like this, and it’s an absolute disgrace that they did this without a word of warning or a push notification.

Suddenly unable to play in the middle of the event.

i dont get your crying… there is almost no difference between dx11 and dx12 in terms of game or gameplay.

also game was made for dx11 and to make it dx12 compatible they need to make loads of changes in engine to have dx12 API calls be same as dx11 API calls. cause dx12 function on lower level than dx11, it is more complex to program and you can easily f up and introduce bugs.

The major difference is that with DX12, you need to be very explicit in how you talk to the GPU (via the API). DX11 is a level higher (conceptually), meaning a lot of the heavy lifting is done under the hood (in the driver). You still need to put all the various bits together when using the API (shaders, various states, etc) but you don’t really need to think about how all of these things fit together beyond just specifying the thing you need, and setting it.

The explicitness of DX12 involves a lot more work on your part; you need to write a lot more code, track a lot more state (and think about how that all fits together ahead of time), and generally just think through things a lot more carefully. The driver is a relatively thin layer, and most of the heavy lifting is up to the application developer.

With D3D11, the API is much simpler, much less explicit, and so requires much less lift on your part. A ton of work is done (opaquely to you) in the driver. Most modern drivers will spin up a bunch of threads to pull things together into something meaningful for the device, and hide a lot of that overhead.

With DX11, the drivers are heavily optimized, so the performance is pretty darned good. But it still ends up being a lot more work (even if much of it happens “behind the scenes”) than a well-written DX12 application where the developer explicitly knows all the parts in the puzzle.

where are the victims exactly? game is functioning normally with dx11. also what functionality does dx12 give that isnt present on dx11? better graphics? better performance? theoretically if dx12 is done properly it will have advantage over dx11 in performance, but it is within few % and it can be much worse if done improperly.

Bro, Reddit’s full of people who can’t play smoothly without DX12. It’s all well and good that you don’t get why we’re ‘whinging’. But have a look at the bug tracker, Reddit, Steam, etc. The problem affects loads of players who can’t take part in the event, and whose Premium is just going to waste.

You don’t have to assume nobody needs DX12 just because you don’t care. There’s a ton of people who could run ray track comfortably at 120fps or more, and in case of me I just needed the HDR (imagine DX11 client doesn’t even support that).

If anything that’s Gaijin’s problem, you don’t have to defend them and hence this choice they made. It’s better off just a bug instead of something deliberate from them.

full of people? found 1 topic with 2-3 people complaining about it. bigger issue is that ray tracing and frame gen was removed.

first world problems…

i am not defending them… i am just annoyed by people whining when it is perfectly playable on dx11. if someone has some specific dx11 bug where it prevents them from playing normally on dx11, then report it on CBR and i will agree it is their responsibility to fix it.

there is HUGE difference m8. For me game is worthless atm

Also, I mean, it takes less than 300 USD now to buy a monitor with Vesa HDR of any form now, idk if 300 bucks is considered first world. Plus you are basically being Stalin by categorizing this problem as “first world”, you gotta understand there’s plenty of ppl with good specs that enjoys Enlisted and graphics is a big part of it.

Also, I can at least speak for my self that DX11 is NOT FINE. It stutters a lot and forces HDR off. So I do need it, and everybody who was making this conversation certainly need it too. there’s at least 3 topics now in the forum alone.

if you are playing enlisted for graphics… then i think you should be playing another game.

well i got fps spikes since first raytracing update, so if it is cause in dx11 then they should fix that. using dx12 to bypass problem should not be a solution.

you nose doesnt work right then… i have been shitting on devs since they f up merge. there are dozens of other bugs and improvements that they should be working on that is not graphics. if anything i would revert any graphical work done to before raytracing update cause game ran much better then.

That’s really just your opinion, don’t ever speak for other people and assume what others need, even gaijin wouldn’t possibly say they don’t welcome players who enjoys graphics of this game, so I don’t know who you are speaking to and who are you representing.

Now, I can’t make further conversation since you are just assuming everybody must agree with what you think and use potato graphic even if they have decent spec.
