@Serpiko82 already answered, but i want add little thing, this war even today is a political mine, not only because of china vs japanese sentiment but even because “the chinese” at that time the china was splitted in several warlord and the country command at least on paper was in the hand of nationalist, for appleasing everyone wo can find something to complain bot japanese and chinese forces need to pass under the censor machine for eliminate the “problematic thing”, and what remain probably is a “red vs blue” in some “chinese like map”, no good to see right.

The censorship will not be very serious, because battlefield 5 is not blocked in China.
Of course, there are some nationalists in China, but they usually get angry only because of “speech”, not because of pictures and scenes in game

my thoughts on campaigns system in general
Like 80% of these campaigns would lack content after level 20.
the content that matters is more about the maps then the weapons
i would love a sicily campaign, open fields with hills, ridges and scatted farmhouses, then Italian styled villages

Well. Then we could just rename some campaigns and add some maps instead of creating more unnecessary campaigns.
Like what would be the difference between Leningrad and Stalingrad, even map-wise?
well to be fair and it has been suggested many times, is to just redo the “campaigns” into the actual campaigns to what they were
el-alamein / sicily / italy can all be added to tunisa then just rename it to the Mediterranean campaign for an example

I think as long as you’re talking about about the same timeframe then the equipment is going to be basically the same so it wouldn’t really make much difference as far as that goes and you could have new maps which would be good.
But if you’re trying to put the Mediterranean under one entire banner then you’re going to run into problems because there is a lot of difference in equipment and there are different battles there like for example Crete would have a very different weapons sat there and say something like El Alamein

People sometimes propoes merging SG and Moscow together but I can already see issues with the KV, PPS or lad-leased stuff which wasnt in Moscow/ Winter 1941/42.

While I dont think we suffer from lack of players, the players stick to one or two campaigns which are Normandy and Berlin (depending on the new levels).
