Sorry had to make it public!
Yeah when I ask you to tell me what BR you think it should go to, I wasn’t Rhetorical…
From a gameplay standpoint China doesnt have nowhere near as much content as the others, but from a historical standpoint China is often overlooked. Everyone seems to forget they were a major part of the war. China was Japans Eastern Front
While China may lack total amounts of content, what they do have available should be suffice since they are only up against Japan. For example a lend lease Sherman can deal with most of their armor
What do you think their max br should be?
I dont really believe in the “max BR” system, like some say Britain can be added as a faction if theyre only BR 3 because “they dont have assault rifles”
But at the same time Chinas lack of content would force them into a similar situation anyway. I imagine by circumstance they could only be about BR 4, although I guess theyd have be BR 5 because they bought Thompson 50s ![]()
I feel like they’d max out at BR III, only fight Japan and if you max their TT maybe it could give you a boost in grinding other TT
I say no, because the vast majority of Chinese stuff would just be lent from other nations and would be lazy copy + paste, with not enough actual Chinese things to make it a unique and usable faction. It would work better as we have it now, where it’s a subfaction that has some squads and weapons given to the existing factions.
No…
Because devs can’t even make matchmaking +/-0 br because of alleged lack of playerbase…
This would only dilute it further.
Not only that, but the community is already not too keen with factions using other faction’s things… and that would make the bulk of what china could get.
the only upside is they could use us/japan and ussr gear
the downside is they would be almost all copy paste of existing game asset, enlisted assets not just warthunder
china is not even a sup faction
yes china was an important battlefield as important as the pacific theater
the chinese suffered greatly in a way similar to the soviet union to the germans.
if the chinese had not been in a civil war they might have made a greater contribution.
imagine if hitler had invaded the soviet union during the fight between the whites and the red, or the civil war had gone on longer he might have won.
Some people complain about “copy-paste” in games while happily accepting it, and bash fictional weapons/gear yet have no issue with them existing. Do I even need to give examples? Such double standards are nothing but arrogant prejudice.
people complain about it all the time what are you talking about, poke a wheeraboo and they will wine all day about everyon getting german at rockets. the second thing is nearly the entire faction would be copy past. if you can fill out the faction b1-3 or br 1-5 and can get copy paste under 50% no 30% you might have a point. if you can get it to have 30% no 25% percent chinese weapons you would have a point. yep racism i cant count t6he number of times people have demanded more content for japan. china was a bttlefield not a faction france did more to end ww2 than china did. for the last century china has not innovate it has pilfered. japan has developed and produced its own weapons china is no japan.
Although I would love for China to emerge as a faction, the equipment is mostly repetitive and difficult to develop with distinctive features.
i think it would be a great addition to add. I created a tech tree concept which fills up pretty great: (link to the post below)
(please note that there is one more smg which i forgot to add)
Sichuan smg:

If we get a complete rework of 4 factions x 5 BRs system and evolve into Campaigns 2.0 – yes, absolutely.
I want Britain, Italy, France, Finland, Poland and China to be their own factions, with their own maps, battles and equipment.
If we continue going down the “look prototype haha” poophole, then no I don’t want China to defend Stalingrad with AS-44s.
4 nations is literally perfect. Everyone fights 2 enemies. China tt would split player base, would have lots of copy paste and would require the devs to make 3-5 new maps at least which would take over 2 years with the current pace. We need +0- matchmaker before we start splitting players even more
I mean, in theory? Yes.
It would require a lot of resources, and it would so far only really be able to participate in one campaign (they did not fight with the Soviets in the upcoming Manchuria campaign, only in Burma).
We’d need new fronts, new maps maps for a faction that isn’t even in the game yet, all for a faction that would fight solo against Japan on all maps except Burma.
My ‘Yes’ vote is deceiving, it could be its own faction.
Should it be, though…?
Weeeeell…
The s18 is already in German faction
No tanks
No planes
1 machine gun in br2
The type 13 is a standard 5 round BA not a straight pull thus br1
Six five same is br 1 thus you have one br2 ‘rifle’
So yes I would love the Japanese having tanks planes and a full arsenal to slaughter the Chinese
If you mean they fight alone against Japan there a faction
If western allies units (us/uk) have to join I there a sub faction
chu xp-o b63
4 20mm
fine you can but should not make a chinese faction
even japan would bully it
Type 13 and Type 15 trench mortars Produced at Shenyang arsenal
Actually, China had its own armaments factories back then. After all, the Hanyang 88 rifle was domestically produced, not purchased from foreign countries. Under the control of warlords from different factions across various regions, China’s own armaments factories also produced many distinctive submachine guns and firearms. Although the output was not large, they were at least the main weapons for warlords controlling certain local areas—equivalent to China’s domestically copied and newly improved versions of the Thompson or other submachine guns. There were countless types of machine guns and other weapons, so to speak, all kinds of bizarre ones. However, in terms of actual combat effectiveness, they were still far from sufficient. Therefore, they can only be included as a short sub-tech tree alongside the main tech tree.
If Finland hadn’t been persuaded by the Allied Powers, it would have continued to fight alongside Germany against the Soviet Union in WWII and thus become a defeated Axis Power. It was only because Finland betrayed Germany at the end that it avoided sanctions. But apart from the BT-2 tank, Finland’s weapons only featured innovations in firearms—for example, attaching a PPSh submachine gun to a flamethrower. The only legendary tank in Finland’s arsenal was the lone KV model, so it can stand its ground as an event reward or a premium squad. Otherwise, if Finland were added as a sub-tech tree in the game, using Germany’s Panzer IV, the Soviet Union’s T-28 and T-34, and then claiming it as a “major update,” I really wouldn’t like this perfunctory attitude. It would be better not to add it at all—it’s just outright laziness.
Of course, at that point, German players certainly wouldn’t complain about Finns appearing in the Battles of Stalingrad and Berlin
Just think about the Mosin-Nagant in that premium German engineer squad. Even though it’s a Mosin-Nagant, it’s a Finnish copy. Yet its ergonomics are infinitely better than the original Soviet Mosin-Nagant—so smooth it’s practically like the Japanese Arisaka rifle
