Change carcano Mod .38 reload

The k98 in tunisia is certainly better than any italia BA rifle in terms of performance

It also has one overlooked advantage.

You get used to it on all 4 campaigns. It’s the same gun, same velocity, same scope.

When I switch to Mosin after playing Germans for few days, I can’t hit a barn with it. Not literally, but my performance drop the first few games.

they just make animation that refills those empty clips so it wont cycle half empty clips.

yeah, just like war thunder autoloader’s replenisment of first-stage ammo storage. we need that

There are many more animations that are lacking and should take priority.

Gw 41, British BA with 2 clips and so on.

Not only animation, also time it takes to reload. Johnson M1941 has same problem. Well, everything that has 2 clips has this problem.

the g41 takes 4 seconds each time

The G41 takes ridiculously long. Want to reload 1 round? 4 seconds. 10 rounds? 4 seconds. Wtf

Yes, it is stupidity.

Also, guns with mags. Reloading is not pulling out the mag and just showing it back in.

You need time to open the mag holder and put the mag in the gun. Most of the times mags were stored back in, not thrown on the ground. Guns with more ammo should have this soft advantage over their low mag capacity cousins. And changing mags in hot area should be a risky endeavor.

But the game left out the realistic approach miles ago.

Mannlicher is quite literally the best BA this game has. You should see my Normady Troops with the 12% Bolt Action ROF buff.
Its auto rifle level of firepower.

As for the Reloading, most Italian Rifles using En-Bloc Clips could not be topped off. You basically had to eject the En-Bloc and then load a new one. So it is fairly accurate with the exception of NOT losing bullets when you eject the Clip too soon and there is Ammo Remaining.

It’s about even with the Ross and Enfield for fire rate, isn’t it? Fastest firing BA for Axis Normandy for sure.

Just tested, and of the Mannlicher En-bloc rifles in the game (M1895 in Normandy, M41, M38, M1981 and Armaguerra in Tunisia) Only the M1895 doesn’t use a mannlicher reload. The others eject a whole clip and load a fresh, full one, the 1895 uses a top off animation it wasn’t/isn’t mechanically capable of. Sure, some guns with mannlicher magazines can be topped off with singer rounds, but it’s not a fast or simple process.

Correct, of all the guns the M1895 can be topped up, which is not quite historically accurate.
Its pretty close to the allied guns, its is the best with the ROF for the Axis side.

The only conceivable Firearm they could give the Axis (in a non-historical sense) that would be faster would be a K31.
One of the few that I can pull a mad minute off with.

Yeah, that would be ahistorical, but I’m not ashamed to admit I’d switch to axis tomorrow if they got the K31, it’s my favorite rifle in the safe. Can’t get gp11 these days, and can’t really replicate it, so I don’t get to shoot it often, but I love it every time.

I have a Dhillon Reloader station, so its easy for me to feed the old girls when possible.

Would be nice if they gave that to us. We have that Assual…errrr sniper rifle in Moscow after all.

I reload too, and if quantity was my only concern, it would all be fine (except for recent components shortages in the US, lets gloss over all that, not the place) but no one makes a projectile shaped like the swiss used. I can get close with the 175gr matchkings I use for 1000yd .308, but it’s not perfect for 7.5 swiss.

Eh, at least the MKb 42(h) probably saw action in the Kholm Pocket, and the STG 44 was used pretty heavily by the end of the war. I’d almost be okay with the K31 on a premium squad or gold order, but Switzerland was scrupulous with their neutrality and I doubt it ever saw combat use. (I’d still geek out if they added it.)

Very cool.

I used to use this stuff out of Serbia (of all places) and it wasn’t too bad (when you could get it, the Pandemic has made everything hard to obtain). The K31 has always done some weird cold bore crap for me. I love it though, it is so unique. Suprisingly I put it above my 98 (Non-K) and my 98 is inline with my MAS36.

I would love a premium squad with this rifle. I can’t even imagine it, and the 12% ROF increase.
Probably end up in SMG territory for ROF lol.

(or give the Premium Squad a +25% Perk LOL).

Although it never saw war use (at least as far as I know) I know mine personally saw a lot of field use as my butt is not in great condition unfortunately. Still workable, but not a show piece like some of my others are.

Unfortunately, my only milsurp rifles right now are the K31 and a hex receiver M91/30 mosin, which is surprisingly accurate if you feed it handloads instead of surplus eastern-bloc MG ammo.

I think most K31s have ugly butts, while they never saw combat (probably) they did see loads of field use, in the alps, in the snow.

That sucks.
I’ve been collecting for Decades now, and years ago there were lots of options (not so much now unfortunately). I don’t think I will ever be sold on a Mosin anything lol. I have 2 , and no matter how much I have worked on the bolt and carrier / extractor, they still do not feed in a consistent way. Accurate with Hand loads? Reasonably enough. About 2 1/4 at 100.

I’ll have to find pics if I have them, I shot a Vintage Rifle Match with that rifle vs a field of good ole’ boys with US Steel, mostly garands with a couple springfields and one Krag mixed in. Don’t remember the whole course of fire, but 200yds, multiple positions, slow and rapid fire, reloads and all, I took 3rd place of 15. Even if I hadn’t, competing at all on that field I’d say is good enough for a communist boat oar XD

as this has gotten off the topic-

Most if not all rifles that take en bloc clips need the clip to be inserted in order to operate properly, as without it there’s added empty space that the rifle isn’t designed to deal with.

So the Garand and Carcanos shouldn’t be able to reload from individual rounds.
