You are forgetting that a game that old is also better than Enlisted in almost all respects. Pretty much in all of them except for graphical technologies.

If we go absolutely historically accurate, then the Japanese starting SMGs will probably be the MP 34 and the Type 100/40, which is the one with the ROF of the Grease gun. The Japanese never used the MP 28 proper, only foreign variants like the Sig M1920 and the MP 34. Also, while yes Japan does have a lot of unique things, that is true for everything EXCEPT SMGs, which the Japanese used a lot of foreign export models and captures, so prepare for MAB 38 and captured Thompsons, especially if we are getting a campaign before 1944 like Guadalcanal.

Yes. I’m still hoping for an asymmetrical campaign… wouldn’t matter to me if Japanese has less smgs, but better something else…
… But I know it won’t happen. DF will pump as many smgs as they can in here. We could even see very weird almost impossible stuff like Kiraly for the Japanese…

That’s a bit pessimistic, I’d say 10 levels of copy paste at most due to the SMG situation, but Japan has a surprising amount of prototypes from the inter war period on par with the ZH-29 which could be added for balance sake.
I have one worry about asymmetrical balance, and that is the situation we have with Normandy. Normandy is asymetrically balanced to the slightest degree, and both sides have not stopped complaining.

No, I meant it’s balanced in the way where the Americans have far better planes and the Germans have far better tanks, which is the slightest amount of asymetrical balance possible and people still complain. Now imagine if an entire campaign weapons and all was like that.
