To build a rallypoint, you have to move 50m away from the combat position.
And you have to carefully choose its place if you already decide to build a useful one.
And you have to build some barrier to protect it.
Meanwhile 1min has past, your team already have someone calling arty.
Your team already reached frontline and get multiple kills or even tank kills.
Your team’s tank+plane slots already full with other players.
3min after throwing all nades and dead, you find your team has exposed your rallypoint to enemies and you cant use your own rallypoint. And they yet build none rallypoints.
You will be first if you chose radio squad initial CD is reduced, even at start! it take 15s.
With my technique all you lost is 10s fight building rally point. The rest of the time, you fight or go to fight like everybody else. How many tanks and player are kill the first 20s of the game again (considering it takes 10s to move to the position to plant rally point)?
Radio squad give you an advantage for the first airstrike, the most profitable one.
Yes, It’s possible. Some people just want to spam tanks because it’s a gameplay that at first doesn’t require as much skills. If you want to play sniper all day, not playing the objective, not helping your team and just exploring the map, it’s possible too.
I’m not sure to understand your argument.
Is it “I shouldn’t build rally point, because nobody build one except me” ?
That the main problem of this game… nobody want to do it.
Just try it. You will realise it’s a very profitable, exp efficient, team helping, tank optimised strat.
If your team loses, you lose the 1.5x times victory bonus. If you’re still getting first place when you win, and no other battle heros, then that’s a minimum of a 1.8x effective multiplier. Meanwhile, if you don’t build any of the rally points your team needs, and that somehow automatically translates into getting the full 1.5x battle hero bonus instead, you get… oh yeah, 1.5x xp multiplier. Not to mention the fact that usually having a good spawn point means much more time spent fighting in the end, so more xp that way.
I guess technically you could benifit from playing chicken with your team, trying to goad them into building a rally point first so you don’t have to, but losing even one rally spawn can pretty easily cost you the time you would have spent building the thing anyway.
Yes, the game could stand to benefit from rewarding good engineering, but acting like you’re suffering or that other players are taking advantage of you when you build rally points is just nonsensical. Players who rely on others for rally points win less games, and get less xp as a result. And besides, as the one placing the rally point, you get to position it where it works best for your playstyle, and might get somewhat meaningfully more out of it than others.
