Yeah, like Japan has alternatives.
Clan players do not choose Japan, preferring other factions.
That’s an entirely different discussion. If you don’t see Japan in Clan games because they don’t use Japan at all that’s entirely different to just not seeing the Auto Hei.
I play with these people and I know what I’m writing about.
Yet there is a large difference between a faction not being played and a specific weapon of that faction not being used. The issues with Japan extend far beyond the Hei Auto.
In tournaments and clan wars they play only with 3x9 automatic rifles.
And that is already an issue but entirely beside the point of this post.
What’s the problem with making the autohei equal to other automatic rifles at least in this parameter?

I agree, but they need to be buffed or nerfed simultaneously. Not create a situation where AVS and T20 completely dominate autohei.
Just because you personally can tolerate the inferior attributes of other weapons doesn’t make said attributes magically disappear.
The reload speed is only slower by an absolute minuscule amount, these aren’t machine guns where the reload times can differ by multiple seconds. Also it gets fewer magazines because its ammo reserve is being split up between larger magazines, it’s basic maths. You’re not actually getting less bullets.
But the drawbacks of low damage
It one shots to the body outside of that very specific scenario I mentioned, and as stated before the gun’s low recoil and good rate of fire means that it’s much better at making that immediate followop shot than the other one shot autorifles.
slow bullet speed
It has a muzzle velocity of over 700m/s, don’t act like this thing is shooting 45acp or anything.
slow aiming time
Based on the numbers you gave it’s only slower by a very small amount.
and a very awkward sight
Now I agree that aperture sights are kind of scuffed in general but, relatively speaking, the autohei’s ones aren’t even that bad. You want to see some real nightmarish sights? I my opinion that would be the M2 Carbine’s sights.
