Never said it wasn’t. It’s objectively the best, but not worth $50 when I have something that performs just as well. It takes 0.3 seconds longer to reload, then I’m hiding behind something for 1/3 of a second longer and gives me time to be thankful I saved some money.

Can you name a German infantry squad at BR 4–5 that is better than it?
I don’t know any (the paratroopers with the Krieghoff are worse), the jaegers with the Suomi / flamethrower Suomi are worse or equal to the tech tree weapons, and their perks are worse

The only reason why i prefer the MG42e squad sometimes is because you have 2 engineers, otherwise the mg45 is just a beast.
Also getting 3/3 stamina and stamina regen (if you bought it before perk changes) is just fantastic

I would personally rather mg42 100 for br5. Germany doesn’t have many worth while high tier premmy squads to begin with. Suomi was good before they gave out a free one. Still pissed about my wasted money there.
All of their absolutely game changing premmy squads that don’t have similar enough replacements are br1-3.
The stg44 (s) is a fun squad. I bought that over the mg45.
Oh yea thats another problem you only get 3 MGs per squad not 5 with a universal engi.

Yeah, if they gave the MG-45 squad the ability to bring 2 engineers, I would main them at BR 5 instead of just using them occasionally.
It is simply because I am too lazy to build stuff manually, and having 6 bots is less than the 9 or even 7 you get in an assault squad.
I can understand his frustration - I wouldn’t drop 50 bucks on a squad like this either.
But we have regional pricing here. I bought this one at full price, no discounts, and it was totally worth it (for me). Back during the campaign system era, this machine gun was absolute meta.
If they ever give it a 100-round belt, I will buy it all over again at full price.

The MG 42 early is good, but stat-wise, it is just a slightly more accurate MG-42. As a weapon, it’s meh, but as a squad for farming casual randoms, it is awesome.

I still think the MG-45 was worth more.
The STG squad is smaller and can neither build a rally point nor properly blow up a tank.
If it’s just for farming enemy bots with a silencer, I guess it’s okay, but I am not interested.
Besides, I don’t even like the STG. Compared to the AS-44, the Fedorov Avtomat, and even the Hyde, it is one of the worst assault rifles at its BR. It just happens to have a silencer xD
I do prefer the mkb42 (m) and scotti naval on assault squads. Stg isn’t the strongest but getting it on guerrillas was unique enough to get my attention. I don’t mind them, they offer extremely clean shooting experiences at range and conserve ammo nicely.
MKB42M — yes, but then again, it’s good for BR 4; at BR 5 it doesn’t look that great anymore.
Scotty — sent it back to the reserve, it’s total garbage for BR 5 with that low ammo capacity.
All my assaulters are running coenders submachine guns.
Fortunately, I’ve got 7 of them.
I’d rather and do use the mg 13 drum over the mg 45 in BRIV.
I bought that squad but I just can’t get used to the recoil on it. It’s way too jumpy/inaccurate for me especially because I tend to strafe to help aim. Mg34 over it all day.

Oh yeah it’s definitely not the right weapon to do that with unless you’re cqc… in which case it’s a beast… but if you’re fighting competent people with high DPS weapons not so much so honestly.
Really I only use it in cqc… and it tears shit up in that scenario
