Sorry, that’s not correct. The sources ID that AFV as Befehlspanther Pzkw V ausf A, Stab I Abteilung, SS Panzer Regiment I. RO2 is the Regimental Adjutant’s vehicle - SS Hauptsturmfuher Hans Gruhle.
EDIT - I thought I’d update the source for this as the photos in the book are of a much better quality and resolution than those coming up via image searches:
Dennis Oliver’s Tank Craft Series - Panther Tanks - German Army and Waffen SS, Normandy Campaign 1944. Published in 2017 via pen-and-sword.co.uk
Hopefully they don’t replace the few out there in player’s possession, they just add a new one from Panzer Lehr and get more cash out of the playerbase.
I know it sound just like a consipiracy theory but there are evidences that support the idea that there was nazis in the german army.
Some people even claim that the all fucking country could have been under nazi influence.
Until futher ivestigation, I think the best thing to do is to remove the germans from the game.
we should remove all factions bc everyon commited war crimes in some way, we should rename the game ww2 shooter, and the team will be named team 1 and team 2.
the uniforms will be changed in a monocromatic color and to not discriminate aliens, the character we use should be just a big white block.
I recommend you to look at the latest research materials——2.panzer-division in Normandie1944 ,which is wrote by Mr.Deprun. Your conclusion has even been overturned for many years.Pai’s drivers even have a complete set of photos to prove that there are no panther panzer in their regimental headquarters.
Its an interesting summary, I’m not entirely sure that the broader readership of the forums will sincerely care. I think one thing is certain that as I mentioned in my previous post evidence is what was most lacking in many of the atrocity debates. Secondary sources such as Skorzeny’s book need to be read with some scrutiny as there are obvious biases and many inaccuracies. But that’s a criticism of many secondary sources. I’m not familiar with the first two sources, but they seem generic and I’m not sure to what extent their authors would do research on primary sources. Wikipedia is not a source, merely a generic context check and is often wrong. That aside, one thing remains clear is that in wartime its super difficult to gather and preserve evidence of such incidents, particularly when extensive front lines are in ebb and flow, and when both sides are struggling for resources to deal with POWs.
I do not understand at all why DF removed the premium Panther.
The Berlin campaign is already full of SS divisions, even the tank squads that are available from the start and the first sniper squads that are opened up are SS.
And of course the Soviet Army has many NKVD units implemented.
That is why I thought the game was free from ridiculous historical revisionism.
But in reality, it’s just like this. I’m quite disappointed.
All iconography is censored in Enlisted since a while, sadly. You can look at the launch trailer of Berlin: all flags had the accurate windmills on them, looked truly immersive! Now they replaced them with barely noticeable generic red flags. All ss squad icons are also censored, but at least you don’t see those while fighting them so it’s me.
But like you I’m sad they censor everything nowadays. As we’ve seen with the Panther, all it take is ONE spineless offended snowflake creating a post to have DF censor things. Just one…
Those cancel culture kids break immersion for everyone here…
I don’t think it will. It’s generational: today ppl are weaker and are afraid to offend, to confront others and to say what they truly think. So they instead bend over to avoid hearing complaints.
Like DF did with the cancel kid who cried to remove the panther.
But we see this everyday, everywhere. In every tv show, every media, etc…
There’s a reason I deleted facebok, insta, twit and all those silly social media things. It’s pointless and toxic.
But I’m SLIGHTLY masochist so I keep using this forum, for my daily dose of pointless topics and entertainment (I’m not a complete savage. Close, but not 100%)
