Bots in lonefighters are slightly OP now (mostly for instant shoot and extreme quick spotting)

After the updates, now bots will go to “pre-set” point inside cap zone, not the previous middle point of capzone. It’s a good improvement. Also ,they can somewhat “peak” to observe.
But, they still like L4D2’s witch, when your shot alert bots, they will go into “terminator” mode.
Also, they always too flexible when shooting, like they dont need to slow down/stand still and aim for a while then shoot like real (average) human players. If you are in front of them, they are very likely to give you a instant shot.
Also, they are too good at finding enemies. Like if you are sniping far away, human enemies need some time to find where you are. But bots’ dosent. When you alert them, they will turn in a very stable angular speed, then, give you a shot, without any time for finding where you are.

Consider:
Nerf their damage (decrease to unable one shot kill)
Or, downgrade the rank from lv5 to lv1. (lv5’s AI is too good at shooting)

For further thoughts: Let AI to shoot like human. Avoid instant shot. Aim for a while then shoot. Reduce chances and speed of finding out enemies in darkness, or prone, or in bushes, etc.

Bots are never equal to human and cant achieve human’s abilities. Like AT, or build something, or mark enemies, or throw grenade.

Perhaps, allows AI to throw grenade to someone he noticed, but hiding away. Allow AI to use their AT grenade to enemy vehicle next to him. Set a chance of AI building spawn point in some pre-set points. Allow AI to callin artillery.
Also, let AI in lonefighters still can use other squads instead of pure infantry after their first life.

IMO, bots here is for fun and reduce competitive so that even casual players still can kill sth for fun. Not for playing CS bot match with expert AI difficulty. They should always be weaker than human. And please avoid enhancing bot’s difficulties for compensate balancing human counts.

PS: 1500Kbps for 720p/30hz videos is definitely not enough :frowning:

Good job on capturing those little nasty moments, I hate when bots 1 tap me when they see me for the first 0.0004 seconds. Overall AI behaviour is pretty good, but those bots reacting too fast and 1 shotting everything who peaks the corner for a milisecond is annoying.

Try a mortar. Bots still snipe you from a distance through the trees. You have to stay behind a building.

the first clip, i almost die from laughs.

i’m honestly speachless.

the famouse russian 360s during the war.

on a serious not, good job. and yes, bots are good, but they are at one point of being almost ridicolous.

like, i do understand that it’s important to make players concerned and more catious. in order to not rush, and rewarding the slow play rather than the rushes.

but on the other hand, its a bit excessive getting 1 tapped from 3 miles away through bushes.

we’ll see in the next big updates what they will do.

1 tap bots are annoying as fuck. I really hope the devs can make them a little more consistent in the next update.

Yep, game is unfun to play now. I will back to play when they fix this

Weird, I have played a lot of lone fighters recently and I haven’t encountered any OP bots.
The bots that I have encountered half of the time walk past me or stand in a room behind for about a minute without shooting me, when they do manage to shoot at me they sometimes land some lucky shots but I have never encountered bots like in those video clips.

Interesting, are you really playing Enlisted then?

Why not just remove all bots from Lone Fighters ? and keeping squads for mixed PvE and PvP?

You know I played pretty much all WW2 games and Online FPS… many companies have tried to implement mixed PvE and PvP… not a single one succeed and enlisted wont succeed as well it all comes down to technology.

Modelling a human like behavior is really hard and will consume a lot of system and/or server resources, imagine for an AI to shoot you the AI has to see you but has to move the camera looking at their surrounding, a normal player might miss something on the corner or a group of pixels of similar colour, some players will not see a player hiding in a bush some might pick some pixels of an uniform on a bush, some of these will try to shoot at this pixels others will wait to see more clearly, some players are constantly checking for enemies around them, others will not, some will deduce the enemy comes from x direction others will not… some players will flank others will not…
And so much more basically players come in a wide range of flavours and skill, programming this versus having a real players just inputting x coordinates and values and passing this to the server and then the other players is so much more easy, efficient and you end up always with a human like behavior that does not inherently cheat.
