yes. that’s why the icon it’s a redn and yellow generic star. pretty much the same for german divisions, no division has swastikas despite being present in some of them.
everything it’s generalized for marketing reasons.

but the whernmacht werent the only fighting force the germans had, plus there is a diffrince between the SS and the whernmacht.
plus most the markings the SS used were from WW1, just like the freaking iron cross is not a nazi symbol

While I think that 8 million is overstatement in terms of Berlin itself, but eastern Germany indeed had a hard time with soviet “liberators”
