I bought the Polish bar squad, so I’ve played in Germany and don’t want to play in Berlin again.
I think the full range suppression capability of machine gun is much better than that of SMG, although it is 71-r PPD
I’ve unlocked all campaign in Normandy,lv29 Thompson is much weaker than fg42 and mg42.Similarly, berettam 38 is no better than browning.So I think SMG is not the same level as mg
1 second animation including charging the bolt . if we are dumping a magasine we must stop firing so the animation starts. its fast, gun and squad are worth alot on current close quarters maps / cleaning houses.

its nothing more than a mp40. for people wondering grab a mp40 on anyother campaign, its the same, but with twice the mag size.
PPd its actually amazing. comparing both yeah, ppd is superior at any aspect, but i just play axis…

That mp40, even with it’s double magazine, takes almost as much time to operate the magazine switch than the reload time on a regular mp40…

That 1 second is tricky, however. You can’t manually switch your magazine when desired. I prefer to storm a building with a full one, usually, but reloading the 40/1 will switch both 
It would be great to be able to control that switch using the same button as secondary fire for example.
agree it would be golden if we could switch it on the go. but so far, its still worth as it is

True that, the weapon really DOES look unique and that’s the plus I’m looking for if I’m to collect premium squads. The russian ppd squad is extremely good, sure, but it’s the same thing as a regular ppd squad, with a bayonet attached. Bayonet is functional at least (but with such a spray, melee doesn’t happen much)
